Question about RCA Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a HDLP50W TV(2004) and recently obtained a keyboard for the TV. I connected the cable modem to the web browser which is showing the green light at the ethernet cable. On screen message "cannot connect to server". I was reading in the manual about a router. I saw a product online called Roku which I think is a router?? It also said in manual when connecting for the first time the browser would go to a RCA web sight for set up?? Does anyone have any ideas?? I also have a dark shadow on the right side of the screen. Picture is fine through the shadow. A video tech told me the light tube has an inspection port on it for a light meter probe and the cover on that post has popped open?? I see a bright light in the middle of the screen and through the middle of the speaker grille?? It looks as if I can remove the speaker grille to investigate?? Anyone have ideas?? Thanks for your time!!

Hi ,

For a detailed set of instruction on how to connect your cable modem to Roku routers please refer to the official site:

http://soundbridge.roku.com/support/ts_uwf.php

Also you can contact their customer service if the router cannot go to the rca websight.

As far as the dark shadow is concerned , please open the back off the tv and find for a loose connection or a fried soldering.

Let us know if you have something more to know else accept the suggestion.

I want to install D-Link DU-562M External Modem 64 bit for windows 7. Please inform web site whwrefrom I can installed it from in my Computer.

Typically visit 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in your web browser..

If neither page brings up anything, Press the windows key on your keyboard, hold it and press R (the win key is between ctrl and alt and has a flag on it), In the run menu, Type cmd and then click OK
it will pop up a dos style box, In that box type ipconfig /all and press enter..

The following dialogue will tell you the routers ip (assuming your connected to it and your network card is obtaining from it) The routers ip should be listed under the Gateway or DNS server.
Type that number ex: 192.168.2.1 into your web browser if the above numbers did not work.

The d-link will have a web based configuration page on it.

If it asks for a username and password the default for dlink are usually
admin
password
or
admin
1234
or
(leave username blank)
password

Just use command prompt, at the 1st moment when you connect your router, no matter LAN, USB or wireless/blue tooth or even HDSPA modems connection it will assign itself a port on your machine, to check what ip adress your Zoom 5241 cable modem got, go to Start, then run then type CMD for command prompt screen and in the console, type ipconfig/all on list you will find your router, simply find "default gateway" part and use that local adress xxx.xxx.xyz.xyz.

This is how you reset your router.....

Reset the router to factory default With the router powered on, use a small thin object to press and hold the reset button for exactly seven seconds. The router lights will flash and this will restore the router to factory default. Connect your computer to one of the routers lan ports with an etherent cable. Open your web browser and navigate to 192.168.2.1. This should show the router status page with the default settings.

  • 1 Connect your computer directly to your cable or DSL modem. If you see a log-in screen for your Internet Service Provider, make a note of the user name and password.
  • 2 Unplug your router and your cable or DSL modem.

Hi! im having a problem on connecting via wi-fi using this router, my iphone3gs is connecting but theres no internet connection. please help me...

The main problem is with the Internet port connection on this router.
Make sure that the internet port is connected to your DSL modem, or Cable modem. The 3rd light from the left on the front panel is the WAN (Internet) light. It should be solid green or blinking.

You should also be able to connect into the router using a web browser.
    http://192.168.0.1

    enter the username and password.
If it has never been configured before: username (admin) / password (leave it blank)

Try running the setup wizard in the web browser.

    Wireless G Router

you should have the cable modem connected to your routers WAN port, using the lan connector cable (RJ45 plug), then using another lan cable from the router number 1 port to your pc's network lan card, making sure the uplink button is not pressed in as this is if you wish to use more than one router on your network. Go to control panel, network connections, right click on your network card>properties, then click the TCP/IP line and again click properties, then select 'obtain ip address automatically'. go to your web browser then type in 192.168.2.1 which should take you into the router settings and look for DHCP clients and make sure DHCP is enabled and save settings. Restart the pc and it should now connect.
