This is in micrfowave ovens Wrong Category...

However if the circuit contsantly trips when using the dishwasher, take a look to see what other appliances are also being used at that time.

Electric jugs/kettles will overload the circuit, so will TV;s etc. Have an electrician divide the power plugs in that circuit to a new circuit breaker and reduce some of the load. Est cost is 80-$100

Westpoint dishwasher trips the electricity

is this a new machine that is replacing and old one? because if it is tripping your breakers it means that the machine is asking for more amperage than the breaker is capable to sustain. make sure that you check the amperage rating is on the machine and you will be able to use the appropriate breaker that is needed for it. another thing that could also be happening is, if that cirquit is being shared with something else in your kitchen, these machines are for the most part need to be dedicated cirquits.

Tripped breaker while running, now it has no power

You would be better off replacing the microwave oven, it is at the end of life.To replace parts would easily cost more than a new item, plus prices have dropped considerably over the years.

My dishwasher didn't drain the water out on the end of the clicle? What could be the problem?

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I would start where your drain line connects to the house drain,This is where most blocked drains happen. Disconnect the drain line and put it in a bucket and try to drain the dishwasher. Chances are its blocked somewhere you just have to find it.

Our GE dishwasher has been working fine for years. Now it is tripping the braker? all wiring is good right to the dishwasher. We did smell burnt wires but it went away.?????

Your dishwasher may be damaged beyond repair. When I installed the dishwasher in my home I found that there is a surprising number of wires bundled under the dishwasher. If you are skilled in that field you can pull the dishwasher out and try to repair the damaged wiring under the machine. However once you've smelled burned wiring it means that there are potentially significant problems in there. You aren't smelling the burnt wires anymore because the damage is so great it's just tripping the breaker. If you continue to try and force the machine to work in this situation you may end up with a fire and further damage.

Please be careful.

I have noticed that when I have my dishwasher on, and kettle and water filter that the safety switch trips out, shutting down most of my kitchen. The dishwasher has it's own outlet and the kettle and...

all kitchen appliances should be on ground fualt outlets & breakers,If an appliance is on a g.f. outlet it should only blow that particular outlet so all you have to do is push the reset button.Outlets and lights should be on different breakers,so that if the outlet breaker blows you will still have lights

I need to reset my Kenmore Elite dishwasher but i don't know how.

Hello,

follow the below instructions:

Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.

Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test

Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.

Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop the "Clean" light from blinking repeatedly.
Good luck.

I have a bosh dishwasher that has not drained of water and the tap light is red on the indicator board

Hello there:
Drain line/air gap A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Pump Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support. Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them. Drain valve and/or solenoid Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water. Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.
If the motor isn't turning or working, the unit won't drain. Some dishwashers are susceptible to getting stuck if you don't run them regularly. I you may need to manually spin the motor to free it up. If the motor is defective, you need to replace it. Timer Part of what the timer does is control the motor and drain valve. If the timer doesn't work properly, the water may not drain and you need to replace the timer. This problem is uncommon.

Microwave cooked dinner and now does work

I had the same exact problem -- turned out the cooling fan for the magnetotron wasn't coming on because of a bad relay on the main control board. When the magnetotron overheated a safety kicked on which tripped an internal relay and killed power to the unit. GE repair guy diagnosed and resolved the problem. Only snag was that they didn't have a spare board so I had to wait a few days for them to deliver a replacement and for the guy to come back and install it. Now has been working for 5 days... of course I probably jinxed myself now! :)
