I checked and found another post, bc my camera was doing the same thing after 3 months of having it. Take a cotton swab to the battery connections. I did this and my camera worked, I wish I would have known this a year ago.

Check battery. If that's good, maybe sane or fabirc from camera case got into the lens. I took a compressor and very very gentle blew out the lens. It's really taking a chance, but it worked. I grabbed the lens when it opened, then it stuck. Then I blew around the barrel of the lens with a compressor (use a blow dryer if you dont have one.) It worked for me.

Don't try to turn it on. After drying out the card and battery compartment as best you can, bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for one week. Then, try to turn it on with your fingers crossed. I'm assuming the water was clear and not saltwater. You still may have a problem with water spots on the inside lens elements if any water got inside them.

Camera immediatly shuts off and lense goes back in.

Sounds to me that ist is more of a charger issue. Try to borrow another charger and see if that works or not.

TIPS:

Do as i say..

4.) Move the gear manually to make the lens come out.
5.) keep it out, put the front plate back together.
6.) reinsert the battery, turn it on.

2.) Wait about 6-8 hours.
3.) Reinsert the battery.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Try hooking it up through AC adapter, put correct voltage.
3.) Try turning it on.
4.) Remove AC adapter, reinsert battery.

Dimagez3 Battery Options

Hey bray598,
According to the manufacturer this camera comes with AA alkaline batteries so unless you bought defective batteries the ones you purchased should work fine. I would make sure the batteries are inserted properly, and make sure when you turn it on the battery cover and/or the memory card cover are closed. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Allan
