Turn the sensitivity of the touchpad down.
in the systray, bottom right of screen next to time, there will be an icon that looks like a touchpad.
-double-left click,
-touchpad properties,
-slide the touchpad sensitivity bar to the left of the screen.

Jumping cursor on EEE pc.

You're hitting the touchpad with your palms as you type. Either lift your hands when you're typing or temporarily disable the touchpad.

Typing problem

the problem is where the mouse cursor is. When you begin to type have the mouse cursor as far down the page as possible the glide pad can pick up the slightest variant of pressure and move your text to the position where the mouse cursor is.
