Question about Logitech Harmony 880 LCD Remote Control

Refuses to charge - but holds a charge

Hi there
The remote will hold its charge but will not charge the battery to full, when placed on the charger. Ive changed batteries and the battery is not the problem, as it charges in a nokia phone...the charger too is fine!
Any ideas?

My Panasonic Model KX-TG8231CB won't charge up after being in inactive for 1year even after 24hrs charge.

O.k. it has been inactive for a year, it is dead...however try this, put it in a saucepan of cold water, place it on the stove (medium Heat) and then remove it (immediately) once the water comes to the boil, dry it and place it back in the charger but also connect a low wattage globe across the terminals before turning the charger on. If after 24hrs it refuses to hold a charge it is obviously made of chuck plastic.

Charging pad the remote batteries are dead, won't hold charge anymore...

Sadly that's how they make the new rechargable batteries for controllers. You are supposed to recycle that and buy new. Luckily you can find chargers for the wii very cheap nowadays. I have used a few different chargers and have found the Nyko brand ones are junk so steer clear of those. The Duracell induction chargers however work very nicely. You just set the wii remote down on the charge pad and it charges fairly quickly. My kids run around and even if the remote shifts a bit it will continue charging. Hope this helps!

I have a Ryobi 18v drill with battery 130429002 that will not hold a charge. Expensive battery with very little use. Can you help?

If both batteries won't hold a charge the problem may be the charger (not providing a full charge). If one battery is OK and one not holding a charge, the problem is probably a defect with the battery. I know there expensive, (I recently had to replace one for DeWalt).

Trouble charging Monster MCC AVL300 battery

Had same problem, and others have as well. It's not the contacts, but the design of the cradle - the contacts on the unit don't even touch the contacts on the cradle. The only way we get ours to charge is to balance something heavy on top of the remote while it's on the cradle to force the contacts to touch. We use a vase that's on the coffee table, believe it or not.

My razr will not hold a charge. Changed the battery, helped a little while but now it is doing the same thing.Dies constantly.

The charger is bad, not supplying enough current to bring the battery to full charge.

Or your replacement battery is bad.

There is a small possibility that the charging circuit inside the phone is bad.

So, before you spend money on a charger, see if someone will lend you their charger and let the phone charge over night. If it holds a charge then you know the charger is bad.

Good Luck!

I am trying to charge the battery. The charger is flashing a red light and the battery won't seem to charge. Placed it in the camera just in case, and it won't turn on.

Well, with my Nikon, the light flashes to show the battery is charging. It stays on when it's charged. My battery and spare battery are 2 years old and working fine. I'd say wait till it stops flashing...hour or 2 in my case, though I never let them run down all the way.

Batteries won't hold a charge

Are the batteries really gettin a full charge or is your charger faulty. If you can borrow a voltage meter you can see what your battery is putting out and check the charger (plugged in) to test how much voltage it is putting out. If the Razor is 12 volt you can hook up a car/motorcycle charger to pump up those batteries. I don't think your batts are not holding a charge, i think they're not gettin a charge....good luck to you...Tim

My headset does not hold its charge

Usually Lithium-Ion batteries have a Memory effect, ie. the battery should be 100% consumed then only recharged. If the battery is only 40% used and recharged then the battery will give you only 40% of it's total charge. The battery starts showing you empty after it is 40% consumed even it was 100% charged. Now there is solution for this-Drain battery upto full, store it in a cool place like Frigde then charge it full then again use it upto last. Repeat this procedure for 2-3 times.Your battery should come to normal state. Also check the charging current of the charger. The charger might also be faulty.
