I would suspect your closed caption settings are set to text and there is no text available on the channel . I would figue out how to navigate the tv menu to cc or closed caption settings and set it to off. Sometimes there will be a cc.. or closed caption button on the tv remote to change those setting directly.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

MINTEK TV - Black screen in the center of the picture

This is the closed captioning text box. Search the menus to turn off closed captioning. The reason for its seemingly random appearance is that not all channels nor all programs provide this service.

Black box in center of screen

The Panasonic call center helped us with this one. Our Closed Captioning had been turned on through the TV settings. This made us have a black box with everything besides our cable. Turning off CC on our TV Main Menu solved the problem for us.
