Question about Plumbing

Open Question

I have a Teel pump #2p105. It runs very well but pumps zero water. I opened it up and every thing looks clean and no damage. I removed all the pipe fittings and lapped the service and it seams to be flat. I inspected the surface for bumps or scaring and found nothing. When the pump runs there are no leaks at the back of the pump, this is also true when it is not running. Please give me a hand with this problem if you can? Thanks ****

If it runs well it would be pumpin water, so what is a teel pump, a name brand, you need to clarify what it is you are doing with it,

only solution is to let the pipes warm up, if you have a heat tape on them make sure its plugged in, they also go bad after a few years

Inspect the jet thru the suction pipe or the removable plug if the pipe isn't inline with the center of the impeller. The jet is very small, and easy to get something stuck in there. Then prime and leave the pressure pipe closest to the outlet slightly loose to let air out. Once you get good pressure you can tighten the pipe. Sometimes you have to prime more than once to get all the air out of the well pipe.

My Craftsman ZTS 7500 zero turn mower cranks while the choke is pulled and runs for a few seconds then dies. I have cleaned out the fuel tank, blown out the carbuerator, and fuel pump but it still do

Its definitely not getting enough fuel. Don\'t blow out fuel pumps anymore; they have check valves in them that forced air will damage. First be sure that you have good fresh fuel ( less than 14 days old), check for water in the fuel especially if your fuel has ethanol in it. Next check the fuel pump by removing the fuel line from the carb, place the end of the fuel line in a container and crank the motor. There should be a good strong continuous pulse of fuel from the pump as long as the motor is cranked. Next remove and clean the carb. If its an LMT carb try to get the nozzle out of the main jet so you can clean all the holes but be aware that it is brass and easily ruined if the screwdriver slips so if you are not sure or it feels difficult stop before you booger it up ( it will then need to be drilled out and retapped- not fun I assure you). use tag wire and run it down all passages then use carb cleaner, then blow it out. Check the shut-off solenoid for proper operation as well. Do all that and get everything clean and open that should solve your problem

Have a teel pump motor runs but want pump water

Either the impeller is not on the shaft tightly or there is something clogged in the intake or outflow pipe.

After a wash, water is collecting in the ring around the opening.

Inside the drain hose before the pump there is a small plastic cup with holes in it. This acts as a filter to stop your pump from getting damaged. Remove the hose clamp closest to the pump & clean it out.It takes a little effort to remove the cup so be patient & work with it. The same for putting it back into the line....DON'T leave it out!! Pumps are not cheap.

I opened the dishwasher and found that there was water lying in the bottom, I removed the filter, which was pretty clear. Is it the pump not working?

assuming you can hear the pump running .. the pump could be warn/damaged or you could have a clog in the hose that goes to the drain or disposal (often right at the disposal) .. you can just replace that hose or clean it .. but be careful when you remove it, all that water will come out, hopefully into a bucket .. check the hose to make sure its not kinked or smashed somewhere .. make sure the pump moter is actually running .. it runs one direction to wash and reverses to drain ..

Teel pump M#IP985B will not pump, motor runs good, it will pump if suction hose is higher than inlet, but not below inlet, what could be wrong?

Typically, there is foreing material in the veins of the pump, I suggest that you disassemble the pump and inspect the impeller, and remove foreign material.

Dishwasher leaving the remains of dish washing liquid all over dishes nothing is getting clean

Is water also standing in the bottom like it isn't getting pumped out? If so, probably the drain system is plugged and everything below the lower spray arm needs to disassembled to the deck--noting the position of each piece as they are removed. Look for food plugging holes in the deck and any obviously damaged parts. Clean the large screen in vinegar and hot water--let soak for a while to remove water and food deposits. Check the drain hose from end to end looking for kinks or other restrictions. Make sure the pump mechanism at the bottom turns freely. Check both spray arms for plugged spray holes or split seams. Reassemble in reverse order. Run a cycle without dishes to clean further--make sure the water drains out at the end. Listen for proper water movement while running. Open the door to inspect progress several times.

Water is not pumping throughout pump

It means your pump was running dry. Running your pump dry normally damages the mechanical seal.
However, you may open and fill the priming port full
with water. Using the gate valve, set it at full close and
start the pump running. Then, open the gate valve two
full turns to stabilize the water flow. Send your e-mail
for further assistance. Thank you and God bless U.
