SOURCE: prints extra blank page for every one page of printed material

Ok, I too have HP Photosmart 7280 and it was spit'g out a blank page after each print page.
I went into the Control Panel/Printers - Right click on the HP Photosmart 7200 series icon and choose delete. Don't worry...just delete it.
Right above (Vista) click on Add a Printer - it's going to ask you if you want to add a local printer which is connected via USB connection or if you are set up wireless then choose Network
It will find your printer click on the printer hit next - then this is the most important step
It will ask you to find the manufacturer it shows Hewlett-Packard and underneath it shows HP - Do not click on HP - you'll have the same problem with that driver - choose Hewlett-Packard and find this driver HP Photosmart C7200 series Version [3/23/07]
Hopefully they are all digitally signed with this information.
Click on that driver and click next - then click on replace the current driver and click next.
Print a test page and problem should be solved. Hope it helped!

Same problem here. Yours is the only other post I've seen that refers to this issue. Did you ever get to the bottom of it?

SOURCE: I get blank pages when printing. Sometimes all pages are blank, sometimes first and last page print, with blank middle pages.

1. Try cleaning or replacing your laser scanner mirrors.
2. Make sure that your transfer roller is seated properly.
3.Update your printer driver.
4.You might have failing power supply, make sure that the drum ground spring is connected to the engine controller board properly. You can also replace your high voltage power supply.

Hope this helps.

Memory low message on hp laserjet pro 200

HP Customer Support page and ensure the printer is running the latest available firmware. Print a Configuration Report from the control panel of the printer to check the installed firmware version.
  • If the printer supports expandable memory, you can install additional memory in the form of a DIMM. Check the printer's User Guide to see if it supports additional memory.
  • Break complex print jobs into smaller jobs that contain fewer pages.
  • If the printer is an MFP, delete stored faxes to increase available memory. Go to this document for instructions: HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Delete faxes from memory (ID: emr_na-c03264743)
  • Power cycle the printer to delete stored fonts or macros. It is possible to download fonts or macros in a way that power cycling the printer will not delete them; see Appendix A - Memory Allocation.
  • Changing some software and/or print driver settings might result in a less complex print job.
  • Use a different print driver. For example, a PostScript print driver will typically result in a more complex print file. If possible, try sending the file with a PCL6 or UPD printer driver.
  • Adobe PDF files can sometimes be very complex. Go to this document if printing PDF files is slow or resulting in memory out messages: HP LaserJet - Print job is slow or hangs in the print queue when printing Adobe PDF files (ID: emr_na-c04071740)
  • If the printer is connected via a network, try sending the file connected by USB cable only. This will eliminate possible network issues that are taking printer memory.
  • Appendix A
Memory Allocation Utilities or jobs that you download to the product sometimes include resources (for example, fonts, macros, or patterns). Resources that are internally marked as permanent remain in the product memory until you turn the product off.
Use the following guidelines if you use the page description language (PDL) ability to mark resources as permanent. For technical details, see an appropriate PDL reference for PCL or PS.
    • Mark resources as permanent only when it is absolutely necessary that they remain in memory while the product is turned on.
    • Send permanent resources to the product only at the beginning of a print job and not while the product is printing.
NOTE: Overusing permanent resources or downloading them while the product is printing might affect product performance or the ability to print complex pages.

Xerox Phaser 8400 prints pdfs in half page

I've seen this issue on some of my other Xerox machines (not the 8400 specifically). 9 times out of 10 the solution is to update both the printer driver to the newest version, as well as updating Adobe Reader to the newest version.

Here are the links to each:

LaserJet 5Si printing slow use to be able to hit the print key then the printer would fire away. seems like the printer pauses between pages then prints maybe 3 to 4 pages per minute

Could be software. I have seen the last several Adobe latest version documents take several seconds to print. I have also seen increased print times with MS office 2003 Powerpoint documents. If it is a single page MS Word or Excel document and u are printing several copies of it, you should turn off the collate feature for printing of that document

How to use gestetner dsc224 as Mac OS X printer

You need a PostScript (PS3) DIMM for the DSC224 so it will understand what the Mac is saying to it. Obviously the machine has network print option installed, otherwise there would be no response at all. The PS3 DIMM installs on the print controller board. If I remember correctly, (looking from the rear of machine), left side behind outer cabinetry......a bit deeper, then behind metal RFI shield,,,the proper slot is labeled on controller pcb....if not labeled, it will be the only slot open for this sized DIMM. I must admit, it has been 3 or 4 years since I've assembled one of these models. Hope this helps.

    Prints lines of garbage

This sounds like a driver issue, the wrong driver may be in use or may be corrupted. Go into Control Panel > Printers and delete the printer, then reinstall it using the drivers that came with the printer. Let me know how it works out!
