Question about Samsung DLP HL-P5663W 56" TV
As long as you used the correct lamp and ballast, about the only thing left would be the light tunnel which is part of the light engine(optical block) which is very expensive to replace. Was it like this before the old lamp went out? the only time I've seen this at the shop, is when the wrong lamp was installed, but have read about a light tunnel failure as a possibility. This is kind of a long shot, but look at all of the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply module if you can get to it, and see if any of them are bulged or domed on top rather than flat. I have seen caps cause this with different brands, but never on a Samsung. It may be worth spending a few dollars to let a shop give you an estimate on it.
