You are too intense, so your monitor blacks out. Ask it what visions it had when it comes to. Then just use audio to get information out.

Also, you miscategorized the problem as generic; does this happen to all monitors you can connect to the computer, just yours, or perhaps just a particular instance of a particular model? Additionally, you are expected to note any odd behavior other than the monitor's (e.g. you forgot the electric bill 5 months in a row, whether the computer ON light also goes out, unbidden reboots, etc.) and under what circumstances the screen will come back.

Some of us have real problems; monitor suddenly showing beautiful images of heaven on earth, speakers erupting in joyous rapture...just try and get work done with that going on!

Monitor has ac power but screen is blackout

Computer black screen of death is usually related to hardware or driver. It is typically caused by software errors in device drivers: in Windows systems by poorly written device drive , It also be caused by physical hardware faults, such as faulty RAM memory or power supplies, overheating of components, or hardware which is run beyond its specification limits . On the other hand, registry damage, corrupted program and viruses are the major causes of computer black screen, too. According to the issue you've got, the following tips may be available to you.1.An efficiency troubleshooting step on hardware is to start your computer with the minimum hardware necessary to run the operating system. If your computer starts successfully it proves that one of the removed hardware devices was the cause of the STOP message. Otherwise move to the next solution.
2.Boot your computer in Safe Mode by pressing F8 at startup. Then go to My Computer and right-click on Disk C to select Properties from the dropdown menu. From the Tools tab, perform an error check and disk cleaning. 3.If the about two solutions doesn't work, the last one I can suggest to you is to create a bootable disk. It is the most quick and effective way for you to solve the problem. You just need to download a software can be used to burn your CD/usb into a bootable one and then boot your computer from it. Run the software to fix the issue after that. There are few free software for you to use, so if you want to take this solution money is indispensable. Windows Boot Genius owns a better cost/performance among such kinds of software I've used. It may be a good choice for you if you have money to pay.
By the way, reinstall your operating system can also help you out if nothing important stores in it.

try hooking your monitor to another pc and see if you get the same response. if you do then the obvious is that you have a bad monitor. if not then your problem involves your vga graphics. the vga graphis may be that of an intigrated port or pci/pci e. either way, adding a new grapics card will solve the issue. be sure to research your pc to insure you purchase the correct graphics card. most often with the newer dell pc's , the designated slot is pci express/pci-e

My laptop screen comes on for a breif second when I move the hindge to open it up the screen goes blank I can hear it processing but the screen is blank.

Good day.
Laptop LCD hinge breakage and loose contact points are the often times the culprit of screen blackout. Sad to say, it is usually non-user-serviceable due its complexity. Just visit your nearest service center for it to be repaired.
Good luck.

I have a COMPAQ, Presario SR1055CL Desktop, that will not bootup

Hi....If the computer will not start and you hear no fans or other electrical sounds chances are the power supply has failed. If you had an electrical storm that caused the blackout and did not have a surge protector power strip it could be much worse. Check the power supply first. You can google for help in testing that supply. Good Luck Hank

Blackout screen on computer monitor

Please try to check your VGA card placement to its slot, then check its cable connections, if still the same problem, try to connect your monitor to another PC & if it operates, then your VGA card is defective. regards

Dell optiplex GX280 bluescreen hardrive problem

It appears that the boot sector of your hard drive became corrupted. The problem is not hardware related and should be fixable by using the restore CD that came with your unit.

I have a PCV-W20 and I had the issues with the flickering screen and blackouts. After reading a few postings i discovered the issue was a faulty CCFL. There are two in this unit. I did not know that when I ordered just one. When it arrived I had already taken the unit apart and was ready to replace the lamp. After soldering the connections the figuring out how to put the unit back together, it worked! After replacing the CCFL lamp the unit does not experience blackouts.

Like I mentioned this unit has two CCFL lamps. When I pulled it out I noticed one was a little darker than the other. I figured this was the one that was bad, and luckily it was.

I do have a line running across the screen now which I have not been able to figure out. Maybe it has something to do with the light escaping from the side. I'm not sure.
