Question about Peg Perego John Deere Gator HPX

We have a used john deere gator 4X2 which my 3 year old grandson ran into a post. The vehicle then refused to operate. when checking the wiring in the the gas pedal compartment i found a two prong wire assembly apparently coming from the transmission control that is disconnected==but there is nothing to connect it to?

From what I can tell, there are levers on both sides of the grill that you press to flip the grill down to the ground. You can then get to the battery to pull it out and charge it.

I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch. One time a replaced the high/low switch and the reverse switch quit on me 2 weeks later.
You can also get the Peg Perego Gator Shifter that upgrades the vehicle.

the peg perego gators have two switches in the shifter that need replaced.
I have replaced them before on my grandkid's gator.

you have to flip the gator on its side then you will see four red knobs underneath loosen those and then move the seat to the desired position then tighten the knobs
