Problems with downloading from limewire

Greetings, I am having problems downloading. I am new when it comes to these devices, so please be patient.

I was able to sync to the existing music on my computer, but I could not seem to download any of the songs that I downloaded from limewire.

Did I miss something in the set up?

Hi

You need to open LimeWire, then right click on one of your songs in the Library and click on Open Containing Folder then it will open that folder then you can send the music to the MP3/4 player from that folder.

If you are using an older version of LimeWire, click on Tool> Options and then you will be able to see where the music is saved on your computer, then open a Windows Explorer (My Documents) and go to the folder then send the music from that folder to the MP3/4 player

Please remember to give this solution a FixYa! rating.

Kind regards

You may need to add the folder that you want the management software to look for. There should be an add folder to library somewhere under file. Also check what file type your limewire files are, you may need to change them to mp3.

My limewire disapeared of my computer

If its totally uninstalled you need to download a new copy from limewire.com and if you feel like the icon is just not appearing on the Desktop, you need to click on Start>All Programs and you will find the Limewire application there. Even if you reinstall a new copy there are chances that your previous uncompleted downloads will start again.

I have problems with format erros from limewire

Maybe you can check at the end of the music file and make sure they are no other extension. Also, it could be that the mp3 files are encoded into a higher or lower codec which your device cant read. Check properly the files you download.

How to put limewire songs to my mp3 without having to download anything

You will not need to download anything to Transfer Mp3s from Limewire to this Player. The songs you downloaded from Limewire should be in a folder somewhere. When you set up Limewire you created this folder or used the default folder they provided. Just connect your Mp3 player to your computer. Your computer should recognize it as a drive and Appear in "My Computer". Double click on the Mp3 player icon in My Computer. This will open up the player. Then with the player and the Limewire folder open just drag the Mp3s onto your Player. You can also use this little player as a USB storage device to store other files. If this did not help you please post a follow up comment and I am sure I can help you.

Limewire firewall

Hi amy_maguires

If you have recently got a new router, there would be a firewall on the router blocking the required ports for LimeWire to operate. To get around this, refer to your Router's user manual and find out how to access it and then unblock those certain ports. PLEASE NOTE: Do not attempt to unblock all the ports as this will increase the risk of getting your router and perhaps your computers infected with viruses.

If that is not your problem, you may be using and ISP (Internet Service Provider) that has blocked those ports as downloading music uses a lot of bandwidth which is a burden on them. If you have Satelite Internet, this is probably the case. You can try and resolve this by contacting your ISP and negotiating a price for them to unplock the port for you.

Limewire wont connect

What firewalls you have, Look for yours here for instructions on how to configure it to allow both LW & Java full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Update your Java: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...radejava.shtml

Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire OR for Windows 98 / ME: "C:\My Documents"

But keep keep in mind once you delete your LW Preferences folder you will need to reset all your LW option settings so you might want to make a note of them 1st.

Cant transfer limewire music from my computer to my mp3

Greetings!
Once you insert the mp3 player, the computer automatically detect the device, were you can see the folder inside of your mp3, create a folder from file, new, folder.

Now open the folder where the music was downloaded usually you can see that file at my document, save/complited folder, select all the file, copy

Open the new folder (which you created) in the mp3 then paste the songs that was downloaded.

To play the music in the mp3 player, just find the folder you created.

I purchased songs on itunes and want to transfer them to my mp3 player (creative ZEN). it won't allow me to import protected songs mp4. I can't convert them to MP3 either....any suggestions?

Try this. We had this problem too and ultimately scraped itunes and went to www.limewire.com .
Burn you purchased songs to disk and then download the files to your device or just download limewire where all songs are Mp3 formatted and it is really user friendly. Download, highlight at lower screen at limewire and hit explore - then save file to mP3 device (just be sure to always highlight target song) and it is really easy. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
