Try the code search with your remote. 1. Turn off your device 2. Hold the button of what you want to program (TV,VCR,DVD) until the red LED light lights up 3. Press the power button 4. Keep pressing Channel up/down until the device turns on 5. Press “OK” 6. Press power and volume/channel buttons to check it
you can set your universal remote to Tv Vcr Dvd and Sat. Just push the TV button whenever the problems occur.
About the power button, it is probably just a default in the remote. if you still have the package, it might have number that you can call to see if you can get a replacement remote in the mail (it is usually much cheaper than just buying a new one) if the package doesn't have a phone number, go on the website.
Okay here's the fix. Remove batteries. Re-install them wrong side in! Don't panic. Reverse the direction of both the battery cells and install. Press "Power" button a couple of times and a few other buttons a few times. Then remove batteries and re-install the right side in. Voila.
If the volume buttons work when using the Radio, then the buttons on the Remote are fine.
Now if the volume on your TV is set to MAX and you can barely hear it.
The issue lies with your TV.. ()
Now if I understand correctly or if I am to assume you are using a Reviever.
If the reciever is used for all volumes... If this is the case.
I also assume the volume on the TV Speakers is set to off
Therefore when you use the Radio/DVD the volume control is using the Reciever volume.
and when you switch to TV it uses the TV volume thus the TV volume is not gonna work as well.
1 The TV volume even at max is not giving you enough power to get the low receiver volume
2 the Receiver volume is at max and barely audible.. if this is the case just manualy adjust your TV volume to get it to a decent sound level.
Hard to explain but I know the 2 issues can be fixed.
If you dont have the codes for a philips universal remote you have to press code search and TV at the same time till the led light stays on. Then press the power button a few times untill the power turns your TV off, then press the OK button. After that the code should be in the remote.
