Turn the player on and open the disc tray. Press [CLEAR] followed by [1][3][6][9] and one of the keys [0]...[8] corresponding to the region you want to set the player for (press 0 for Region 0 or Region Free). Turn the player off then on again for the changes to take effect.

To verify the region code, press [SETUP] followed by [1][3][7][9]. A screen will then pop up with the firmware info and the current region code setting. If it says 0 it worked and you are done!

We have a 23" Toshiba with a internal DVD player.

No,tv internal DVD player are not on sale by itself as a seperate unit, only can buy it from the tv corporations themselves and it not cheap and have to have experience to putting it in into the tv internal tv itself. The tv internal DVD player now, could be the laser eye data reader have problems reading mp3 and mp4 files on the DVD disc, which are video files. Now tries to play more than one DVD movies dic, tries like to play like 5 to 6 original DVD movies. One disc don't play tries another DVD disc.Tries this might forcing the laser eye reader to read DVD dics again and than might fix it to read video files again.Or just buy an external DVD player hook it up to the tv and play DVD disc on to the tv video modes.DVD players external devices are really cheap these day, like can buy new one for $40.

I want to break regional code in LG DVD Player LH-T361SE

Try This

Power On The Dvd Player Then Press Setup On The Remote And Scroll Down To The Lock Symbol Do Not Select It Just Hit 0 On The Remote 7 Times In A Row It Should Say Congratulations. Then Press Select On The Remote Once To Finish.

If Your Dvd Remote Is Not Equipped With A Zero Then Use Another Remote Programmed To The Dvd Player.
Make Sure The Remote Is In Dvd Mode.

Wrong Regional Disc

DVDs have region codes to prevent black-market selling of them and whatnot. Where did you buy the DVD? Where did you buy your DVD player?
R
I don't think so. What if you moved to another country? What if you decided to take your player on your yacht and sit out in international waters watching DVDs?

R
Try deregioning the hardware. Get the make and model number and enter it with "de-region" or "DVD region hack" into google. You may find instructions for de-regioning the player. It usually consists of taking any discs out, restarting the machine and then entering a number code that allows you to set the region to "0". Most of the cheaper, Chinese-made DVD players have a work-around like this. Post the model and maybe I can find it for you.

I have an LG LCD TV (42LC2D) & a LG HDD/DVD Recorder (DBRH197). The HDD/DVD is connected to the TV via a HDMI cable. Generally, when I watch DVDs, I change the Input on the TV to HDMI, however since...

First thing to do here is to check the connection adn if possible try a different cable , because sometimes this can only be a connection or a cable problem,, as for making it unlock so you can watch any DVD on it, there's a lot of site there that is offering that service to unlock the regional code of this unit...

Hope that helps.........

Cant play a dvd on laptop hp pavilion dv4000

I assume it will not play Store bought or rental dvd's.

Try buying a cleaning disc and see if that helps. Other than that the drive would need taken apart and cleaned to see if that fixes it.

It could also be an electronic failure, in which case it would be cheaper to replace the drive.

Hope that helps...
