SOURCE: my iphone doesn't turn on!

For some reason I can't imagine you completely bricked your iPhone just by attempting the downgrade, but if you really can't revive it by trying the hard reset there seems to be a hardware issue with your board. There are iphone repair guides that show you how to replace it and parts are available on ebay.

SOURCE: iphone 3g stuck in "recovery mode" (black screen

To reset your iPhone settings,

picexporterror From the home screen, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Still having problems?
Try deleting all the existing settings.

Note: The step given below will delete all the data on your iPhone. It will also give a reset to your settings.
From the home screen, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings.

Or:

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Let me know if this helps or not, there are other resets available :

If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

My iphone 3g wont turn back on. the facebook app was acting up so i did a hard reset. once i turned the phone back on facebook was still acting up so i did the hard reset again within 5 mins. when i tried...

You could try putting the phone into recovery mode, then resetting the firmware through iTunes. To enter recovery mode you must: 1) Open iTunes and connect your iPhone 2) Press and hold the home button and the sleep button at the same time. 3) After 10 seconds, release the sleep button but continue holding the home button After following these steps, your iPhone should now be in recovery mode and ready to be restored using iTunes. Good luck!

Iphone 3g pin locked and sleep/off button broken how can i format it to lose the pin? Thx mates

Connect your iphone to itunes and it will back up all the data. Restore it to factory settings, this will erase everything but again, you have a backup. Start up the phone again as a brand new phone. This time around set it to no password/pin. Once you've done that sync the iphone to itunes and load all the data from your previous phone. Everything should be back to how it was. If your phone is still under warranty you could also get the sleep button repaired for literally change money or possibly free of charge. Good luck!

I cannot sync my iphone 3G with ituines. ive tried everything but it still doesnt work. itunes sees it as charging but does not show anything else in devices

try updating your itunes and resetting both comp and phone (turning off then on) and connect up, if your not having any luck try a different cable, also try with another user account on your comp with administrative access or try another comp all together, cant give you a definite answer on what it is until there's been a bit of "troubleshooting"...by all means give it a shot and if you cant sort it just message back :)

Apple iphone 3g 4.1version after unlocking one dya is worked properly then showing no service

Turn off you phone and then turn it back on again. If you leave your phone on for extended periods of time the phone for some odd reason decides to lose cell service.
Simply restart your phone and all will be well.
If this does not fix your problem, you will need to take it into the Apple Genius Bar as the logic board may be malfunctioning.

I have an iphone 3g and it has an enlarged frozen screen, ive tried everything incl both a hard and soft reset but wen i plug it in to pc or charger and turn it back on its still enlarged

This is all you need to do.
Double-tap on its screen using 3 fingers and it's all good.
To enlarge them again, just do the same motion.

My i phone has turned off and i cant get it to turn on

First off, have you tried hooking it up to your computer? If that doesn't work, then, what you can do is hold the home button and power button for approximately 20 seconds, and basically waht that does is resets your phone. No worries you will not lose and data, or contacts, or anything for that matter...

You can restore your iPhone if you don't know the passcode this can be done by :

  1. While your iPhone is turned on connect it to iTunes via USB cable
  2. Once iTunes has recognised the iPhone turn your iPhone off and DO NOT disconnect it.
  3. Turn your iPhone on while pressing the home key
  4. When the Apple Logo appears let go of the power key but keep pressing the home key until the screen goes blank
  5. This will put your iPhone in recovery mode and your PC will recognise it as "iPhone DFU mode"
  6. Once this happens go back to iTunes and you will have the option of restoring your iPhone.
