Question about Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 for PC

1 Answer

I am using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7(Build 7.5.0.47 ENU) and I am having problems with the Media Editor. The problem occurs when I attempt to use DVD Builder to make a DVD. When I Add New Title the DVD Disc Project size shows a project sizes, but the Menu Editor and the Production Editor does not display a menu are the files I have selected. Since the Menu Editor and the Production Editor does not display a menu are the files I am unable to selected files to edit. . I am also unable to Add to Selected Title. Previously I was able to use the application to build and burn DVDs. I am using Windows XP with an IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 2.80GHz

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 broken by IE 7 is there a fix?

Creator 7 is not supported with IE 7, due to the changes by Microsoft. You should try going back to IE 6, or maybe think of upgrading to Creator 2009 - it's only $49.99.

I also checked the Roxio website, and unfortunately they no longer support this product. I was going to also recommend getting a hold of one of their technicians, but it looks like you have to pay for "legacy" support.

Have Roxio 7 and want to install it on Windows Vista

Easy Media Creator 7 is not supported on Vista. Easy Media Creator 9 and above are only supported. Anything lower may be able to go onto Vista, but Tech Support is not going to be able to assist you if you have problems.

DVD RW - Installation Problem

Ok. What I am going to suggest may seem like a daunting task but if you are careful and do only what I suggest you should be ok. The first thing you are going to have to do is manually make a change to the Windows registry to fix the permissions. 1. Fix registry permissions a. Click on "Start" choose "Run", then type "regedit" and click "OK". b. In the Registry Editor, click on the "+" next to "HKEY_Local_Machine". c. Now click on the "+" next to "Software". d. Right-click on the key (folder) called "Roxio" and choose "Permissions". e. Make sure that "Administrators" and "System" have checkmarks for "Full Control" - "Allow". f. If you had to add those checkmarks, click on "Apply". g. Click on "Advanced". h. Put a checkmark in "Replace permission entries on all child objects with the entries shown here that apply to child objects". i. Click "OK". j. Click "OK" again. k. Now close the Registry Editor Next, you will have to uninstall the Roxio software. 1. Remove Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 a. Go to Start--->Settings--->Control Panel--->Add/Remove Programs b. Select Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 and select "Remove" c. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer. 2. Reinstall Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 a. Insert the CD and install as you did before and then reboot. If you have any issues uninstalling the Roxio, go to the following link to download the Microsoft Cleanup Utility... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Run the utility after the unistallation attempt and then reboot and reinstall Roxio. Hope this helps. Good luck.
