Question about Acer Aspire 5520-5908 Notebook
Even though a lot of things might have gone wrong and caused this,
But I will try and tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try.
First of all, get a screw-driver, remove all the RAM(memory sticks) at the back of it, clean their interface with an eraser, and try to power it on first without
them, then replace them back and power it on.
Remove all your RAM(Memory Sticks), and clean the tip of the connector with an eraser, and re-insert it one after the other.
That is, if you have two of them, after you insert the first one, put on your system and see if it works, then do the same thing with the other one.
If the two of them works, them insert the them all. but if it is just one that worked, just remove the other one that is not working and replace it.
Also from what you have just said, I suspect that your hard drive is likely to be corrupt, or having a bad sector on it.
To be sure of this, disconnect your hard drive from the laptop, and power it up without connecting the hard drive, if it boots up to the point where it says:
"Operating System Not Found" or "No Bootable Device Found", then that shows that your hard drive needs replacement
Kindly Let me know how it goes.
Hope this helps.
