I have a new MAC os x Snow Leopard 10.7 and the kodak easyshare software crashes when I attempt to transfer from the camera to the MAC. I've installed 10.6 from Kodak to MAC but this is not working. Suggestions for transferring my photos from the C813 Camera via USB cable?

Thanks for the recommendation to place the memory card directly
into the card reader of the MAC. It worked just like you described it.
    Great advise!

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Have Olympus camera (I believe F310). Cannot upload photos from camera to Snow Leopard; however I could flawlessly in Mac OS 10.4. Is it the system change, a camera problem, or a cable problem? Camera...

Is the camera detected and mounted when you connect it to the pc? It should appear as an external memory - the photo files directly accessible. If it doesn't then something is wrong with the cable. If it does then try to access the files with another file manager than Finder.
The easiest way to bypass this problem is to extract the memory card and put it in a card reader - now it will be just another memory stick, use it as one.

My Kodak Easyshare camera won't transfer photos to the computer, but I can have them printed in drugstores, etc. What am I missing? Operator error I'm sure! Thanks!!

Try to install the software on your computer first. Here are the steps:

  1. Close all software applications that are open on your computer (including anti-virus software).
  2. Place the Kodak EasyShare software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  3. Install the software:
spacer.gif Windows OS-based computer-if the install window does not appear, choose Run from the Start menu and type d:\setup.exe where d is the drive letter that contains the CD.
Mac OS X-double-click the CD icon on the desktop, then click the Install icon.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
spacer.gif Windows OS-based computer-select Complete to automatically install the most commonly used applications. Select Custom to choose the applications you wish to install.
Mac OS X-follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE: When prompted, take a few minutes to electronically register your camera and software. This lets you receive information regarding software updates and registers some of the products included with the camera. You must be connected to your Internet service provider to register electronically. To register later, see www.kodak.com/go/register.
  5. Restart the computer. If you turned off anti-virus software, turn it back on. See the anti-virus software manual for details.
For information on the software applications included on the Kodak EasyShare software CD, click the Help button in the Kodak EasyShare software.

Software crashes in Mac OS 10.6

EasyShare software may no longer be activated. Since Kodak declared bankruptcy, they have taken the the activation server off line. You will need to find another image editing software package.

Webcam installation of genius slim 1322AF to mac os x

No installation needed on my Mac (1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5, OSX 10.5.5) to use the 1322AF; just plug the cam in your USB port. The camera is detected automatically when starting a relevant program (f.e. Skype). Unfortunaley Photo Booth crashes sometimes (!) Also the software "CrazyTalk" (included) is for Windoze users only.
Hope it works for your guys, too...
