SOURCE: I have a Panasonic CQ-DFX403U
That is the error code for the laser being bad. It is a very difficult job to replace one.
You can try cleaning the lens with a cleaning disc, run it for about 20 to 30 seconds and if that doesn't help the laser will need to be replaced.
These are very good car stereos, Panasonic makes some of the best car stereos around. It may be the only thing they make really good. So it may be worth it to you to get it fixed. The cost should be around $130 give or take a little depending on the cost of the part and the rates of the shop.
I have been repairing car and home audio for over 17 years and work at an authorized Panasonic service center. So I have lots of experience with these.
If you need any help, just ask. And if you found this information helpful a "FixYa" rating would be really appreciated.

I know that you use numbers 1-4 I believe. Push button 1 2 times, button 2 6 times etc. I reember doing that for some model but can't remember what :-(. Anyway, try that. If no luck, give me make and model and I will do some resarch for you.
