SOURCE: whirlpool washing machine wont stop all lights

Check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out.

While the machine is on press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds, then wait for 2 minutes to try the door. Try this again if it does not open, this is the child lock program - to lock and unlock; it is the same procedure.

How abt a nice rating for the free help? Thnks

SOURCE: my whirlpool awod5526 washing machine wont work

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(no guarantee but try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning!

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I have a Whirlpool Cbrio top load washer. it won't start it's cycle. Once it senses the load, the lock lid light flashes and it does nothing. can this be fixed?

I would say that the lock has failed. Either the lock itself or maybe the pin or latch that fits into it when you close the door may have cracked / broken. If the machine thinks the door / lid is still open, it wont let you start it.

Whirlpool washer wont start and start light flashing

Hi, sounds like a problem with the door lock/latch assy.not recognizing the door closed.
Their should be a trouble shooter guide, within the cabinet itself try taking off the bottom access panel and look in side the bottom a tech guide will be in there somewhere..

Take care

My washing machine stops and the red "door locked" light keeps flashing. Can anybody tell me how to put this right?

door interlock has failed and it wont lock. so the washer safety device will not let it work, replace door interlock by an approved engineer
