Vertical Ic collapsed need to be replaced

What kind of red line? Wide, thin, sharp, straight? All the way across?

try to replace the vertical ic and resolder the vertical section.

A straight horizontal line across the screen means you have no vertical deflection. Could be as minor as a bad solder joint, a failed capacitor, or the vertical deflection IC is bad. Or shorted diode, burnt resistor....

Picture is reduced to a straight horizontal line across the center of the screen.

Is the blue line running straight across the middle of your screen? If so its a vertical deflection problem. Possible bad Vertical output IC

Can you post a picture of the set. This might be a convergence problem. seeing the set will confirm this.

Hi. this is caused by dry solder joints on the frame o/p IC. Resolder all legs of frame chip. Should sort that out.
