These need a good power supply , i looked and did not see the duty cycle on this welder if you are doing heavy welding 100% power it will need 30- 40 minutes to cool of to weld again. it all depends on the units duty cycle, stated on the welder spec plate ..can you bypass the auto feed speed mode ? this might be the issue.. good luck ..use all the protection you can when welding these are like the sun and can and will burn exposed skin and eyes .. if'n i was any help throw me a bone and vote thanks jay

I have a Miller Syncrowave 250 DX and it has 3 fans, 1 come on as soon as machine comes on and after welding for about 10min the other 2 come on but they are not

Do you mean to say that the other 2 should come on, but are not? Perhaps you are welding using lower settings than before, and the machine just isn't heating up as quickly. Is there a point at which the fans do come on? Say thirty minutes into the job instead of ten? Maybe you were afraid to run it too long without the cooling fans on and so stopped prematurely, before the thermostat turned them on? Check fuses and breakers.

After completing a plug weld on sheet metal the molten weld grows to a point as it cools

This is a gas issue. Either you're running out of gas, or there's junk built up in the tip of the gun, keeping the gas from flowing freely. Also, if your arc length is too short, this can happen but it sounds like a gas problem. If the gas isn't an issue, try backing off a little when you make a weld, or turn your wire speed down a hair.

When im welding the xmt 304 machine will arc out and the volts will say HE.L and the amps will say P.5 its like it loses ground what does the volts and amps mean when it says that.

Help 5 Display Indicates the right side of the unit has overheated.

The unit has shut down to allow the fan to cool it. Operation will continue when the unit has cooled.

If unit overheats, output stops, a Help 5 message is displayed, and cooling fan runs.

Wait fifteen minutes for unit to cool.

To avoid this problem Reduce amperage or voltage, or duty cycle before welding.

Sould like it is running but the switch is still off. you can hear aload buzzing noise.

Your machine must be under warranty still. Please send it back to your welding store and ask for switch warranty repair.

Too much tension would smash your wire and it would not run correctly. Are you sure you are using the correct size rollers for the wire you are using. Rollers come in various sizes and applications. A knurled roller is used for flux cored wire. Make sure you sizes match up. They are stamped on side of rollers. Good luck!

Wire won't feed or arc fan runns

Look for a reset button on the case. Make sure that you have power to the machine and at the power socket. If everything looks ok outside, you may have to investigate your warranty. Good luck!
