The agitator is just pressed on. But it is really tight. I put my belt under it and pull. Look out it will hit you in the face when it lets go.

Lost ring inside washer/dryer

I am betting it is in the dryer. Here is a video to show you how to open it. Please let me know if you find it in there. Look thru the COMPLETE duct work and blower. I doubt it is in the washer. If it is, it is under the agitator.

My wife washed my pants w/o taking the four dollars in quarters out of my pocket. i think there is a considerable amount of change in the bottom of my washer. will this impact the efficiency of my washer...

Its almost a guarantee that the quarters will get down into either your recirculating pump or your drain pump and damage them. I would try to get a tech out and have him separate the inner and outer drum. This will save you a lot more money than replacing a pump they are not cheap. Its fairly simple to separate the drums just pop the top with a putty knife. Pop the cap off the agitator and remove the bolts. pull up and the tubs should separate. Hope this helps.

Wbsr3140 washer leaks

looking at the washer the front panel is held on by clips, take a flashlight and a butter knife and slide the knife in the top crack of the front panel and slide to one side until it stops. this is a clip. usually in line with the washer lid seam. there is one on each side. push in and up on the clip while gently prying door forward, and wala it will open. if you can fill the washer with water alone and it doesnt leak. you probably have a soap issue which can be solved by cutting the soap usage down

Remove the agitator

The agitator is actually pressed on without mechanical fasteners . Grab the bottom of the agitator firmly on each side. Pull up with a quick, hard **** (careful not to hit your face). If this does not work, wrap a belt under the agitator. Grab the belt firmly and pull up with a quick, hard ****.

Removing agitator

Sorry, I can't help you. This is the area for asking questions about computer monitors, not washing machines. You clicked the wrong link.
Look at the top of the page, click the Westinghouse link and then on washing machine. Enter your question there.
