How to find fuses on my GE Spacemaker XL microwave model# JVM1340 WW

First thing is make sure you unplug the power cord. Turn the microwave around and remove the screws that hold the cover on. Remove the cover and look for where the power cord goes through the back of the unit. Follow the black wire coming from the power cord and that will take you to where the fuse is located. It might be on a small circuit board or mounted in a fuse holder or it might have an inline holder. Make sure that you replace the fuse with the same amperage fuse as you take out. You will find the amp rating stamped into one of the collars on the fuse. Good luck!

How do I remove a GE spacemaker model jvm130k

I assume that it's mounted below a cabinet on the mounts supplied with the microwave. If that's the case, there are four buttons on the top of the microwave in each corner. They fit into holes in the mount then slide into depressions which hold the unit in place under the cabinet.

To release the microwave push up from the bottom then try sliding it backward first. If you are able to move it, carefully slide the whole unit until it drops through the holes and is clear of the mounts.

Be very careful because the unit is pretty heavy and you'll get its full weight when it drops through the holes.

If it doesn't move when you try to slide it rearward, try sliding it sideways in either direction. The direction you must slide it in is determined by how the mounts were installed but it should slide out fairly easily once you know which way to move it.

Depending upon where inside the microwave the nut dropped, it may be necessary to open the cabinet to retrieve it.

Whirlpool microwave gh7208xrb-3 fuse is good but the unit has no powernothing lights up at all it like it is dead.

Control board might be dead. Cost is quite high could run up to $200 or more. Many times I recommend just to replace it. Here's the dumb question, is power present at receptacle?, if over range microwave, in cabinet above microwave? Check for gfci receptacle tripped. Sometimes fuses appear good, always be sure to test with a meter.

Replaced the fuse and it immediately blows. My wife cooked several large potatoes got it ral hot before failure

see the steps and eliminate short circuit use the common sense: God bless you
No Lights or Power, Unit seems Dead First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.

However if after replace the fuse the problem remain, you must test: a) power cord for short b) outlet wall for ground improperly c) HV transformer faulty d) Rectifier HV faulty e) Magnetron faulty. d) power supply faulty replace or repair filter diode, resistor. etc Or call some experimented service tech for troubleshooting.

F000676071CP microwave not working after power outage.

Hello :

It could be bad door switch or loose door switch mount . There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly .

But If the microwave doesn't work at all , then It could be a problem with the power transformer or the power PCB . Or it could be just a fuse . You need to check first . If it's the fuse , then that will be easy to solve , you need only to replace it with new one . But if the problem is with the transformer or with the PCB , you need to take your microwave to the service for repairing .

WARNING:

A microwave oven is capable of giving you a serious electrical shock, even when it is unplugged. I strongly recommend you seek the assistance of an appliance repair technician when conducting any microwave oven repair .

good luck .

Screen does not respond to touch

Does it beep when you push the buttons?

If it doesn't, your touchpad may be bad so you're unable to communicate with the unit's computer.
