Hi, you need to check if the compressor is running or not.The alarm is sounding because the temp is under the reqd. set point. If it is running continuously, then you either have a blockage in the system or there is a leak in the system. Quick check for a possible blockage which is repairable is to feel the small pipe on the compressor and see if it is hot or cold. If cold, there is possibly a leak. If hot, it could only be a blockage which can be repaired. Another very possible cause is simply the evaporator fan motor is not running.
Take care

Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire refrigerator (FPRH19D7LF) and that the alarm is sounding. First, did your refrigerator previously experience a power loss? If the temperature of food rises to an unsafe level, the buzzer will sound and the red light, if equipped, will also glow. First, deactivate the alarm to your refrigerator by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your refrigerator. After deactivating the alarm and your refrigerator has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, your refrigerator may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend connecting with an experienced technician to determine the underlying cause. Best!

My refrigerator has a temperature alarm that keeps sounding every few minutes, how do I reset it the alarm?

Hi Friend, that's a great question!

The alarm of your Frigidaire refrigerator may typically be reset by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. It is good to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your refrigerator. After deactivating the alarm and your refrigerator has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, your refrigerator may possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend reaching out to a professional to proceed further. Best - Z

Why my fridge freezer keeps beeping four hort beeps

Temperature alarm
If the temperature becomes too warm, an alarm will sound and the temperature display will flash. The temperature the appliance is set at will determine when the alarm is triggered.
The alarm will sound and the display will flash under the following conditions:

  • - whenevertoomuchwarmairflows into the appliance, for example when food is being loaded, re-arranged, or taken out.
  • - wheneverlargeamountsoffoodare being frozen at once.
  • - whenevertherehasbeenalengthy interruption of the power supply. Door alarm
If the appliance door is left open for longer than approx. 60 seconds, the alarm signal will sound.

Switching the alarm system ON
The alarm system is always active. It does not need to be switched on manually.
Switching the alarm OFF early
Once the set temperature has been reached in the freezer section, the alarm signal stops and the temperature display stops blinking. If the alarm signal bothers you, it can be switched off early.
^ Press the alarm off button. The alarm signal will stop. The temperature display will continue to blink until the set temperature has been reached. The display then stops blinking, and shows a steady reading. At this point, the alarm system is ready again if needed.

LG LFC21760ST Beeping Constantly again. Last time it cost me a fortune to replace the computer board. Isn't there a cheaper way to stop the sound?

I would suggest starting with the easiest troubleshooting tip first. Try unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugging it back in. Most (modern) appliances will reset to factory defaults when they are unplugged for a few minutes.

It sounds like your fridge has problem with the damper stuck open. The damper is in the top-back-center of the fresh food section. I can't tell by the pics I have how to get to it, but looks like it's simple to get to it - just remove the damper cover.
Check the damper for the ice buildup. Clean if needed. Unplug the fridge and check continuity on damper motor. Replace damper if no continuity.
Check the microswitch on the damper assembly. C on switch [where it connects to black wire] should make contact with NC [yellow/red] when button is not pressed, and C with NO [blue/red] should make contact when button is down).
With temp in the fresh food section so low, the damper should be closed, and if it isn't there should be power (110v ac) coming to the motor either continuously until it closes or for a short period of time within a few minutes after you try to set the temperature, can't tell by schematic. Unplug, connect your DMM in "volts ac" parallel to the damper motor (red and green/yellow wires), and plug fridge back in. If it does not show 110v immediately, set the DMM to show the maximum voltage registered, and leave in the fridge for 20-30 minutes, with doors closed. If there was 110v, and the damper is still open - replace damper. Otherwise it's very likely that the control board failed.
