Fix BootMgr Error when trying to boot Windows Vista

Alot of people have trouble booting in Windows Vista and some people might have this:

041bd43.png
This is because the Boot Manager is missing and all you need to do is recover it. Unfortunately, this requires Windows Vista installation disc. If you do not have one, I suggest you purchase in retails or ask your computer manufacture.

Insert in the CD and it should ask you if you want to Boot the CD. If it does not show up, I'm supposing you should head to the BIOS and change the boot order.

[Image cannot display, because of image size. Sorry!]

Select your language and click next when your ready. If the CD boot fails, reboot again.

You should see a link on the lower left-hand side for "Repair Your Computer"

Alternately, you would attempt to find Vista Installation Directory

The process will attempt to recover the Boot Manager. It might take several minutes depending on your system and RAM. Startup Repair will not make changes to personal data and files. So don't worry. It should work after it's done, reboot your PC and it should be recovered! If not, retry again or post it in "Help" Section.

It should work and it needs to restart the PC to take effects. Remember to change the boot order before booting in!

Want to know how to reset factory settings...dont want to back the computer up just want to reset it

If you wish to reinstall windows, you will lose all data. To do that, put your Windows XP/Vista/7 disk in your CD/DVD drive and reboot your computer. When it restarts, it should automatically boot from CD/DVD, but if not, press the key that your BIOS screen says to get to the boot menu. This is usually F12 or Esc. Boot from CD and follow the prompts. It should take about 30 to 45 minutes to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows. Hope this helped.

Taking 7 minutes to boot up

You may have a virus infected. I would get it checked out or try to trouble-shoot yourself.
Please follow this guide for how to install a good anti-virus program that is free forever.

If this doesn't speed things up please write back.

How do i reset my forgotten password for windows vista on paretnal control

There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but I’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
it not only supports XP, 2003, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password
You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:
1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.
Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.
