The product key located at the bottom of your laptop might be the product key for windows. If you computer/laptop came with a Disk of the MS Office then look on that DVD or it's cover to see the product key information. If you don't have a genuine copy of MS Office then better buy a legal genuine copy from Microsoft.

My refurbished laptop's product key for windows office won't work

The Product Key on the bottom of the laptop is for the Windows OS on your machine not Office. I would suspect you have a Windows Office Trial version and must buy a Product Key. Consider using Freeware Apache OpenOffice at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_openoffice/ it's similar to office and very easy to use.

The computer does not turn on when you click on the start button. As far as i know someone who deals with computer says that its the motherboard but i doubt it. I cant figure out what is the problem?

if the power indicator on:

- try to remove the battery, and turn the notebook on using the power directly from the charger.

- Try open the bottom cover, use rubber eraser to rub the memory.
- try clean the exhaust fan using soft brush.

after those steps, try to turn it on again.

still not working?
yes it's the motherboard problem, since it use atom processor, then you will need to replace the whole motherboard.
if the power indicator is totally off, maybe it's because of the motherboard.

Ok I have an asus n80vm notebook i'm havig a problem with the battery. But I have an even bigger problem because the little switch that you use to release the battery from the compartment is broken so I'm...

Bottom of laptop will probably be trapped by the battery, often with screws beneath the battery as well. Try fiddling the release slider with a small screwdriver; ultimately prise battery out using flat-bladed screwdriver at the release-catch end. Things may break, but duct tap works wonders!

Optical light on Mouse not working

Hello,

maybe the battery?
follow the steps below to troubleshoot the mouse
Wireless mouse does not respond (generic instructions)

Try to Resynchronize your device with the receiver(connector)
Follow these steps.:
Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, put the device near the receiver and put other wireless keyboards and mouse at least 6 feet away.
1. Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.
2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in several seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, go to the next step.
2. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
3. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 3 again.
For the Wireless Notebook mouse: This issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a pin or a pen to try to release the button if it is depressed.
or
Try different port and restart your computer.
or
Reinsert the batteries or install fresh batteries
If you have the possibility check whether the problem is because of your computer or the device, try the mouse or the keyboard on a different computer.

Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 1023 - not working!

If you know that the battery is good then try this next. There is a VERY tiny shark-fin shaped spring-loaded button on the bottom of the mouse that is pressed in, when you insert the receiver, while the mouse is not in use, that turns off the mouse to save the batteries. If you haven't used the mouse in a while, it can get stuck in the in position, so that when you pull out the receiver, it doesn't spring out and turn the mouse on (indicated by the red light on the bottom). If you notice that the light isn't coming on. Just try manually pushing in the little shark-fin thing a couple times to make it spring back out. After a couple times, you should be able to get it unstuck and the red light should come on.

Toshiba Satellite L15-S104 Gets VERY HOT

Make sure that there is good air flow all around the laptop, including the bottom. By resting it in your lap, you may be constricting the air flow. This is one of the reasons why laptops are now called notebooks! They really don't work well on your lap. When I use my notebook, I make sure that the fans have a clear path so that I don't have this problem. Try that and see if it works. You could also use a notebook cooler. They run about 20.00, depending on the type and size.
