It might be a problem with your monitor's device driver. Install the proper device driver instead using the generic driver for the device and set the resolution of monitor properly. This can help you solve the problem.
If you are unsure about the drivers or if you don't have the driver disks with you please let me know the model number of your Monitor; Hopefully I will be able to help.

How do i graph a circle in parametric mode?

The simplest way is
X1=cos(T)
Y1=sin(T)
Set angle unit to radians,
Set the Zoom window to SQR (square), otherwise your circle will look like an ellipse.

ASUS P4SP-MX detect the new LCD monitor VH197D as an CRT. picture is stretched; circle's becoming a ellipse. Can you help me!?

Wide screen monitor distortionDepending upon the screen resolution that has been set inDisplay, the image will be distorted on these large wide screen monitors.
Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down theShift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle).
Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolutionslider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle imageto the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then changethe screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied withthe image of the circle. When you are satisfied then click apply.

How can I adjust the aspect ratio on an acer monitor x203h,so a circle looks like a circle and not an ellipse ? qtom@bellsouth.net

Usually under the menu function there is an aspect ratio adjustment. At that point you're going to end up with an 18.5" monitor with black letter box on each side.

Will not recognize 2gb SD card. recognizes 256mb SD card. How to make it recognize larger card?

Well that other guy wasn't any help... Ok so my suggestion is to format the SD card.

!!!!BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER!!!!
MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING IMPORTANT ON YOUR SD CARD!!!
IT WILL BE COMPLETELY ERASED WHEN YOU FORMAT IT SO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING IMPORTANT ON IT!!!
YOU CANNOT GO BACK AFTER YOU FORMAT YOUR CARD!!! ALL INFORMATION ON IT WILL BE GONE FOREVER AND REPLACED WITH NOTHING UNTIL YOU NEW PUT STUFF ON IT!!!
!!!!BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER!!!!

Ok first I should explain. Your SD card is probably in a different format your computer cannot read. For example SDHC. Instead of FAT16 or FAT32 which your computer can read. Your computer can't read a SDHC because it is in layman's terms in a completely different language than your computer can understand.

Now that we got that out of the way, the technical stuff.

1a. If you are on Windows XP: Click the start button and hit Run. On the new window that just popped up type diskmgmt.msc and hit ok.

1b. If you are on Windows Vista/7 Click on the start circle. And in the search bar at the bottom closest to the start circle type in diskmgmt.msc and hit enter.

2. Look for your sdcard in the top section of that window. Your computer's harddrive should be there too, and anything else with storage that's inserted. MAKE SURE IT'S YOUR SD CARD! It should be pretty obvious.

3. Right click your sd card on that list.

4a. If the option to partition it is there click on it and select either FAT16 or FAT-32.

4b. If there is no option to partition it then click on Format. Then format it to FAT16 or FAT-32.

That should have worked, if it didn't please let me know and I'd love to help you get your problem fixed. I love this website I'm having so much fun helping people lol.

Hi there, with my toshiba 27A33 television ,the picture comes in on both sides about 2 inchs

First thing to check: could it be aspect ratio - source material is old standard 4x3 format, TV is widescreen 16x9, so it only fills center? If so, the images will look properly proportioned - circles round (not ellipses), people neither unduly fat nor skinny.
Second: if the shapes are wrong, it could be settings on source device (check DVD menu, cable/satellite set-up) and/or TV (choices like letterbox, pan and scan, stretch to fill screen, etc.)
Third: if CRT TV, could be defect in horizontal sweep circuitry, requiring repair shop; decide whether the cost is worth it, vs new TV.

Good luck!

I m looking for making big picture in small circular formate in photoshop 7

1. Open the big picture in Photoshop
2. Choose the Ellipse Marquee Selection Tool.
3. Hold shift and click and drag to make a perfect circle above the picture.
4. Press Control+J to create a new layer from the selected area.

Or...Are you trying to shrink a big picture so that it becomes small enough to fit within a small circle? If so, let me know.

What is the forular/working out of- ellipse with a long axis 2.500mm and short axis .850 (double the 0.425 radius) the area is 1.669 thus the area of the part circle is 0.835. what is the formular

I'm not sure what your ellipse looks like but the equation for the area of an ellipse is given by:

pi times the long axis times the short axis

pi = 3.1416
The length of the long axis is from the center of the ellipse to the outer edge of the ellipse
The length of the short axis is from the center of the ellipse to the outer edge of the ellipse

Hope this helps Loringh

ERROR

Hey SKHOWE,
What it sounds like to me is that you r memory card has either gotten corrupted or was formatted outside of the camera. Either way what you could try is formatting your memory card, but by doing this all your images will be gone so I would upload them to your computer first.

Sincerely,
Allan
