SOURCE: Sport Duet dryer will not start, even though power light is on

If the unpluging for the night helped reset the system and then worked?
Then there is an electronic problem that needs to be addressed and diagnosed.
You have 3 mor months warranty so I suggest you start using it now .
Therefore you have a record of this problem before it ends and if anything happens after the end of your warranty they will help you anyway or replace the dryer for you ,ANYWAY! Yes they do that if they see there were defects prior to the end!!
If you ever have a problem after the warranty is up call, " Whirlpool Consumer Affairs"
They have the power!

Make an appointment with Whirlpool now and it will cost you nothing.

Let me know what they find.

SOURCE: my duet front loader dryer has no power

If you have 220v going to the unit you want to take the bottom pannel off. It should be three tork screwws. Then there is a little white fuse mounted on the blower houseing. This is the most common problem especally if your vent has not been cleaned in a while. (over 3-4 years.)

My duet dryer model GGW9250PW3. front loading, won't start.

It is probably the thermal fuse (start fuse) located on the blower wheel it's white about 2" long with two blue wires going to it. Try that first.

Lights come on, press start and nothing ..

Start Switch is bad, When they go out it leave's a open circuit and all light will come on but no action.
After the circuit is closed then it tells the dryer to start cause the circuit activates both the timer and the motor.

Good Luck

Dryer will not stop running

Your machine may have a feature called wrinkle guard or wrinkle shield, which basically keeps tumbling the clothes without heat to prevent wrinkles from setting in. Turn that feature off and see if that does the trick.
