Question about Toshiba REGZA 46RV530U LCD TV
This is usually caused by a problem inside the power source. The little lights on the case of the tv are indicators, their behavior will give you a clue on the severity of the fault:
- if the lights blink or are of a different color that suggests that the power source if intact but it has shut itself down because it has detected a fault one one of the other components of the tv - this will be easy and cheap to fix - the defective part (usualy some aged capacitors) are cheap and easy to replace
- if the lights are constantly red or orange that means that the power source has detected a failure and it has itself sustained some damage; this is going to be quite difficult to fix and expensive - multiple parts are gone;
- no lights are on - the power source and the the board that hosts the failed part are gone; this is a massive failure, complete boards of your tv will gonna have to be replaced. This is definitely a job for a repairman and it's going to be very expensive.
