the computer probably wont supply enough power to charge the PSP, just plug it in to the charger and leave it for 20 minutes and it will power up

Playstation portable, psp, will not turn on, will not charge, charging light does not come on., like it's dead

The battery is dead need to purchase new battery or the battery is not accepting charge when you plug in your power cord. If you can borrow your friend's battery to check your psp. If still the same, the problem would be the motherboard itself and need for replacement or repair.

I tried to charge my psp with a few 9 volt batteries and i think i fried the motherboard it wont turn on with the battery or without the battery and connected to the AC adaptor. When i try to plug the AC...

You could try another battery. But if another battery doesn't work, sorry mate I think it's dead.In future make sure you only use what you know is compatible, also NEVER try to run the PSP with the AC adaptor without the battery in.The PSP safety and support booklet states: Do not use the PSP system with the AC Adaptor when the Battery Pack is not inserted in the system. If the AC Adaptor is disconnected suddenly,it may result in damage to the system.

If it is the motherboard that's burnt out I think you can replace it but they're expensive I think,I saw one for a PSP1000 for

Power not working without being plugged in.

Your battery probably shorted and fried itself when it got wet, so replace the battery (remove the one in it right away), and clean the terminals with a pink pencil eraser right away (even before obtaining a replacement battery).
Be thankful that the PSP still works at all after contacting liquid!
Good luck.
