There is a small strip of glass to the left of your exposure glass ( the big glass) there might be some dirt on that piece of glass. You might not even see it most of the time, but it's there. Loosen the 2 screws and take of the scale on the left, the small strip of glass should be attached to it. Use a cloth and some window cleaner or even dishwashing liquid and clean that glass.

RECIPIENTS OF MY FAXES SAY THEY HAVE HEAVY BLACK LINES DOWN THE PAGE?

Hello,

This is a common problem usually caused by ink or trash on the image sensor. Here is a link to an article that shows where to look and clean to correct the problem.

The screen says the Paten glass needs to be cleaned. What is the paten glass? Also when copies are made a black line is showing up on the edge of the copy.

Hi,
platen glass means that you need to clean the copy glass - glass where you put the originals for copying.
If you have an auto document cleaner there is also small glass on left side of "platen glass" wich is seen when you open the copy machine cover or dadf.

The black line is probably from dirt on copy glass, I pressume because courectour liquid ( most common ). use some stronger detergent or wd-40 to disolve the dirt and clean with glass detergent and dry it.

If you still have the black line try to print something from machine. If you do not have it on print its the copy glass problem - clean it - again.

Pls.rate

How do I download photos ?

Use Windows Explorer (START, right click and select Explore).

First connect the mobile too the USB cable and connect that to the computer. You should get a message like "New Hardware detected" or something to that effect.

Now go to Windows Explorer. Scroll down the left panel until you see a new drive corresponding to your mobile. It will be the drive after your DVD/CD ROM. It will usually be titled "USB Mass Storage", or if you have installed your mobile drivers, it will display your mobile's name.
Click on the (+) next to this and expand the contents. Open the folder that contains the pictures and highlight each one you want to copy by holding down the CTRL key and selecting each pic. Now right click on any of the highlighted pics, select copy. Browse to the folder in your PC where you want to copy the pics, and right click and paste,

Hope that hepls!
