Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

I have a dishlex 750 eco. The control panel has not lights, but the internal dishwasher light still works. The repair guy said it needs a new circuit board, and not worth fixing. He could sell a reco one cheaper, although this machine is old it has hardly done any work. any thoughts? thanks dave..

The tech is quite correct, with this unit, the best thing to do is nothing. You need to put any prospective money that was going to be used for repair into NEW one with a full warranty, that way you can be sure of a reliable unit.
It is not so much as even the cost of the circuit boards, and they can be real expensive, it is more the availability, there are hardly any spares around, and what there are are worth gold so to speak.
Get a reco with a warranty as second choice though no worries.

Replace Control panel cover on dishlex dishwasher 500E

If your 500E is the same as my 500E then the controls are electronic touch buttons. The are part of a self adhesive strip and stuck to the front of the door. No screws involved. Only the LED lights are mounted on a circuit board with screws on the back of the plastic front panel. ?????

Hotpoint FDW60 flashing eco light

if the eco light is flashing, this indicates that saftey float switch has activated in the base of the dishwasher usually caused by a leak, a polystyrene float activates a microswitch which cuts of the water inlet supply

Try turning the taps on harder, I read that someone else had the same problem and this fixed it for them.

Dishlex global 300 dishwasher, eco light flashing sounds like pump noise but not working

Try taking the dishwasher out of its wall space and tipping it back and forth. Apparently the weight of water gathering in some component triggers the 'eco' function. Failing that, last time it happened to my dishwasher i waited a week for the repair guy to arrive, by which time the water had evaporated and there was no longer a problem..
