The shutter assembly must be replaced then. But your camera is near-worthless and the repair is not a DIY option, so it's uneconomic to do so.

You can get a complete replacement camera for nothing on FreeCycle or Freegle, or very cheaply on auction websites. My last two N75's and an N8008 (a.k.a. F-801) came to me as perfect near unused and boxed examples from FreeCycle.

Why would my Auto focus mirror not folding up completely.

The mirror is designed to fully swing from top to bottom with out any interference unless something was jammed inside. If you are shooting with the lens off and watching the mirror only partially open something is jammed and needs repair. To test this put the camera in Manual mode ( M on the mode selector dial) Set the shutter speed to 1/4 of a second and press the shutter button. Having a slow shutter will allow you to see if it is fully opening and closing.
If you are making this assumption based on seeing images that have only a portion of the frame exposed, then the most likely scenario is you are taking pictures with the flash on at a shutter speed greater than 1/250 of a second. This causes the flash to fire before the shutter is fully open and therefore only part of the frame is exposed. Google "Shutter Sync Speed".

Old Program A camera -mirror jammed in open position and shutter will; not open when the shutter release butten is pressed

From what you've given, it sounds like the shutter is fried, or the mechanism jammed - or both. If you're wanting to keep the camera, and use it, you'll need to contact a repair technician and have them take a look at it for a repair estimate - assuming it's able to be repaired. Estimates will run you around $35 most places, if there's no shop near you KEH Camera which has a website is quite good.

The same thing just happened to my Nikon FE, and my estimates have been ranging anywhere from $105-145 to get it fixed, so the decision of whether to repair or replace if really left up to you.

Stripe appeared when taking picutre with SAMSUNG L730

The shutter is jammed open - in picture mode it overexposes and gives the white stripes, in video the shutter stays open and the camera sets the expsoyre, so appears OK. New lens unit will be required.

FILM ADVANCE/SHUTTER STUCK

Start simple and go from there.

I don't know if you have film in the camera so I'll read the following and choose what works for you.

I will assume the battery is working if applicable.

As stupid as this sounds press the shutter release button. If the shutter is cocked it will hold the advance. I've had people come in with this problem.

Not it?

If the film rewind has been pressed in it will disengage the film advance and stop the shutter mechanism as a result. Open the camera and close the back again resets the release.

If there is film in the camera remove it.

It there are important photos on the film and your rewind is not working use a coat to make a light proof black box. Just turn the sleeves inside out and put the camera in the coat. Wrap it so as it is closed to light. Open the camera remove the film and roll the film back in by hand.

OK so now we have a camera open with no film in it.

Open the back and look just below the shutter. On one side will be a very small "lever". This tells the camera that the film has been advanced and the shutter is cocked. Gently move the lever to the right. It should click. Now try pressing the shutter release.
Note that without film in the camera some cameras will not advance the shutter.

It should clear the problem.

If not something physical in jamming.

The film advance system could be jamming. On the side the film advance is on there will be a plastic "gear" inside the camera. Try moving by hand it should turn. You can reset the shutter this way.

Give this a try.

Hope this is helpful, if it gives you some direction please rate this answer.

Thanks

35mm slr praktica bca shutter problem.

1) Open the top cover.
2) On the film advance gear, the shutter winding lever is attached to it.
It has screw adjustment there. Unscrew the screw ( not all the way out ) You will need to adjust the wind travel and make the length of the wind lever ( made of spring steel) shorter and tighten the screw.

Shutter jammed

Did you set the camera to M90 AFTER you installed new batteries? The camera will work without batteries in the B and M90 settings, but when you install new batteries, reset the mirror by turning the dial to M90. If this doesn't correct it, I wouldn't recommend opening the camera - take it to a repair shop.
