Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I have a Linksys WRT54G
i have no signal but sometimes i can connect to the internet
when i check my status it says :
The Frequency band of 2.4GHz Wireless Lan And 5 GHz Wireless LAN are not compatible, please switch system to the same frequency in order to connect successfully
please help me ...
This is usually caused by your router and your wireless network card are not compatible... you need to purchase as well cisco wireless network card adn tehn when you press your wireless security on the router, it will automatically apply all security protocol to the connection.
if you do not want to purchase new card, you always can setup these devices manually,
connect to the router via rj45 cable, establish what protocol, security and transmission method/frequency you will be using, write that down, disconnect the cable, enter your wireless network card settings and apply same settings to your network card, this should solve the problem.
as you did not stated what operating system you are using and what card is in your computer, this is unfortunately best advice which can be given.
how to set up your router, you have downloadable pdf file on linksys site.
