What powers the picture tubes in a 55 inch model tn55x81

The tubes in the projection set among other things need: 200 volt screen source, filament voltage and high voltage.

Note that if set for example has a loss of vertical or horizontal sweep this will be detected and the tubes will be shut off to prevent the tubes from getting a burn mark on their screens.

Green screen with red and blue wavy lines

This is "NOT" meant as "expert" advice...as this is not my area...HOWEVER...I see no one has answered this yet...AND I got some good help from here a year or so ago that worked for me!

When I had a similar "green screen" problem with my SONY projection tv...the guy helped me by having me make "MINOR" adjustments to the red/blue/green etc knobs behind the panel. These were three small black plastic pieces and needed less than a 1/16 of an inch adjustment...try adjusting one at a time and giving it few seconds after each adjustment. It worked for me..at least for a while (till my wife gave it away to a friend because it was "too big"...ah! women!!! LOL)...hope this helps. (NON-expert help!)

Rolling screen

them dang old dust mites... but seriously blue and red means you lost your green. the rolling means also your vetical sync is gone ....perhaps you hit a setup button ...take a good look and see if a button pushed in or sticking around where you dusted.to unstick you need a service man.

Dark picture

This is a common problem with Panasonic projection TV sets. There are a few differant things that can cause this problem though. The first problem could be a bad cocus screen divider assembley. This is what takes and adjust your foucus as well as the indivitual screen controls for each color(red, blue, and green). Another problem could be a bad capacitor in the sweep power supply that is supplying the screen voltage or whats called the boast voltage to each picture tube board. The next thing it could be would be a bad coil or resistor in the picture tube filiment circuit also in the sweep power supply. Now I heed caution my friend as non of these repairs should be attempted unless you have the full knowledge of how these circuits work and have the proper test equipment as well as the proper documentaion to repair these beast. Please if in any doubt, call a trained tech to assist you in this repair. Good Luck

Sony Kp-51hw40

Sounds like a bad solder connection in the sweep power supply. Not a repair for the novice I'm afraid. If you get it fixed before the set goes out completely, it should not be that expensive of a repair. Good Luck

Picture has horiz. lines

There is no vertical hold in the tv circuits now adays. You may find a vertical center or a vertical height. Your problem sounds like (if it has PIP Thats Picture in Picture) its in the PIP module and its a small module that stands up and most models of Mistubishi this module is no longer availabvle. The problem with the module is the small pana caps are leaking and ruins the PC traces. I have heard that theres a kit available on E-Bay to jump out this module. Now if its not the PIP model then it could be a few capacitors in the vertical sweep circuit. Also the B+ feed off the Flyback that supplies voltage to the vertical output IC could have a bad or leaky capacitor in the circuit. If your not a tech or solid state troubleshooter theres not much you can do and SHOULD take this set in to a repair center. Good Luck
