Question about SIM2 Domino 20 Multimedia Projector

Sim2 domino 20

My sim2 domino 20 does not turn on. I need to check the lamp to determine if it is burned out. I have the front cover off, unscrewed the fan but the housing appears to be attached to eveything else. Is there an easy way to get to the lamp?

I have Sim2 also and the red power light does not come on. However on the power supply card inside the unit the green led is lite. After time the power light does come on and using the remote power on the projector starts and the lamp lights as normal. Does not sound like a lamp issue but something in the unit that makes to unit not power up in standby mode.\

Hi there

I checked the manual of your Sim2 , but they don't even mention the lamp in there.

You already have the front cover off , check if you can see any small screw around the lamp housing. They normally attach the lamp's housing with tiny screws to the rest of the unit.

How to reset lamp hours on Sim 2 Domino 18

I am not familiar with your brand in particular but they are all pretty much the same. In the menu under settings you should be able to scroll to lamp settings. Under that category or something like that will be where you can reset the hours.

Sharp projection tv lamp replacement

Rear Projection Televisions are not like other televisions that can run maintenance-free for 20 years or more. They need to have their lamps changed on occasion, and most have air filters that need to be cleaned every month or two. Lamps typically last about 8,000 hours on most models high end models, some of the cheaper models last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Keep in mind however that some lamps won't make it all the way to their estimated life spans. If you operate your LCD or DLP TV in a warm environment that is not adequately ventilated, or at higher elevations, this can reduce lamp life. Failing to keep the air filter clean may reduce lamp life as well. And some lamps will just fail sooner than others--estimating average lamp life is not an exact science and testing methods vary greatly among manufacturers.
ere is a checklist of what to do to get the most out of your lamp:
  1. Check out the presets and select the setting with the lowest light output.
  2. Once you've done that adjust the brightness down to your liking. The lower the brightness the long the lamp will last.
  3. Check and clean the air filters on a monthly basis. Having a clean air filters means that your lamp has better airflow. Air is what is used to cool the lamp and the cooler your lamp runs the longer it will last.
Each owner's manual for a rear projection TV comes with instructions on how to replace the lamp. Here are the typical steps for replacing a lamp.
  1. Turn your TV off. Let it sit there for about 5 minutes to let the cooling fan help cool the lamp.
  2. Unplug your TV from the power let it sit about another 30 minutes. Even with the TV turned off power is still going to the lamp and the lamp receptacle can still be hot enough to burn you. Even if you think that the lamp is cool I recommend that you do not touch the receptacle.
  3. Usually the lamp has a cover that you will need to unscrew. Most manufactures use a Philips head screw for holding the cover shut. Unscrew the lamp cover.
  4. Unpackage the replacement lamp. Be careful not to tough the glass, as oil from your fingers can damage the lamp's surface.
  5. Pull the lamp out. Most lamps have a plastic tab or hoop on the handle that you can use to pull it out. Follow the owners manual for specific instructions on how to pull the lamp out. Make sure you do not touch the surrounding lamp housing if you just turned off the TV. It can burn you if it is hot.
  6. After the lamp has cooled, place it into the empty box of the replacement lamp. Never put the used lamp into a plastic bag.
  7. Using the guiding post also called "gutters" by some manufactures slide the lamp replacement lamp in pushing it until you hear a firm click.
  8. Screw the lamp cover back in.

Replace lamp pt 61lcz70

make this steps and fix it. God bless you

  • Check the fan. Once the television is turned off, it is just normal for its fan to become louder. A projection TV actually depends on its lamp, which requires cooling so that it will not prematurely burn out. If the room where your TV is placed is very hot, the fan would also continue to run.
Replace projection lamp. To properly do this, make sure that the lamp's bulb has cooled down and the TV is unplugged. Carefully remove the cover of the lamp's compartment using your screwdriver (Phillips-head). Unscrew the sealed part of the lamp that can be found at the television's rear part. Take away the old lamp cartridge and then insert a new one. Seal the lamp with screws, replace its cover and then screw tightly.

My DLP projector SIM2 DOMINO D35 is turned on and works normally BUT picture is absent on all of inputs (projector shows NO SIGNAL, green indicators is ON). Sources of signal and cables are in order. What...

It is possible that the last time this was connected there must have been an higher input applied than is recommeded so that the input PRE_AMPS were loaded to fail.
You need to check with an signal trace on the input to find if an OP-AMP has failed or the LOGIC switching IC had failed.
Need to test using a signal tester and meter.

We have a replacement bulb and I don't have a trap door to remove the old and install the new.

WARNING! Sim2 does does not recommend that you change the lamp, they recommend that you contact a local dealer for service. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
If you still wish to proceed. This instruction is available at avsforum

There are 2 recessed screws on the bottom near the front of the projector (really deep cavities). There are 2 on the backside of the unit. Remove all those and the top cover comes off. Inside you will see a fan held on by 3 screws (you will know it because there are 4 holes, but only 3 screws...that is normal). Remove those and take that fan module off. The lamp is then accessible.

Good luck! __________________
