Question about Panasonic DVD & Blu-Ray Players

1 Answer

I was playing a regular DVD, like we always do, and then when I tried ejecting it, it said "LOCKED" in red! This never happened before. I have a triple play Panasonic PV-DF 2735 , TV.

Prompted by your email, I came back to the site, & read the Q/A, & saw that I should search for the product. When I found it, I saw that some else had the same problem, and they had a solution ( http://www.fixya.com/support/t115642-locked_dvd_tray )!

Thanks, glad to have found Fixya!!!!

Insert blank dvd rw but after trying to load ejects. weird as it plays all dvd's fine

Hi, well even though it plays OK what's wrong is that the record laser is faulty, and when it "Tests" the inserted media, with the record laser to see and set the power levels it fails as it is faulty and thus ejects the disc. Replace the unit, repair is un-economic. In saying that it may be advisable to get a "Quote" from an approved repairer?

Tray locked on sony dvp-ns77h dvd player

If the Sony DVP-NS77H DVD player displays "TRAY LOCKED" and you can't eject a disc or open the tray, try the following - First turn the unit off. Then, while holding down the eject, play and stop buttons simultaneously (on the front of the DVD player), turn the unit on with the '/O button (also on the front of the player). This released the locked tray for me.

When I try to play a dvd it says "the disc cannot be played, please check the disc". then it ejects. I've tried different discs. Why does this keep happening?

Your DVD reader's diode is probably burnt out and can't read the disk; unfortunately you can't fix this yourself. You'' have to call tech support for your device and hope you still are covered by your warranty.

System will not eject video tape and is locked

This unit is confused. The timing may be messed up. Try unplugging the unit for 1/2 hour. This will force a system reset and make the unit go through a complete startup check/reset. This may clear it up. If not, hopefully the symptoms will change slightly. Please post the results of the "reset".

Thanks,
Dan

Your system is in child lock mode. I had this exact problem this week. You need to put the system into standby mode and then press return, then enter then on/off and it will be unlocked.
