Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

How do you replace antenna (orange part) on Iphone 2g?

My Iphone 2g's reception goes out and I'm missing calls/can't dial out occasionally. Phone has no other issues. I dropped the phone a while back and the antenna (orange part) is damaged. I saw where I could buy that part online but I can't find any instructions on replacing it. All videos I could find do a 'tear down' but that part is never separated. If the part is sold separately, ..i'm assuming it can be replaced. Anybody know how?

My iphone 4 is sending incoming calls direct to voice mail & not giving the callerto speak to me. how do i reset this?

I have had this issue with the iPhone 4 and 5. It all comes down to the carrier. I unfortunately have At&t and for that note the cell phone coverage is bad at my house. The iPhone 4 and 5 have a few glitches, in the sense that the antenna is only on top and side. The New iPhone 5c and 5s have three antennas and the call are almost never dropped. If they are it is due to At&t service. Call At&t or your service provider and ask them to rest the service on there end. They will reset your phone to their systems. Usually this works. If not ask them about the closets antenna and if it is down or being worked on.

That happened to be the case last year for me at my home. Once they fixed the antenna I got all my calls and never missed ever since. I hope this helps. Best of luck.

Hi ever since I have replaced my iPhone 4S screen my phone call reception is very bad and keeps breaking up, the signal strength is good so that's not the problem, I have reopened phone to check...

Ever since the iPhone 4 the antenna has been integrated into the metal bezel around the phone, there are many antenna connection and they are very sensitive, my guess is that one of the connections was loosened during the screen replacement.

The iPhone 4 has a well-documented issue regarding its antenna case design that could cause someone to drop a call if they hold the iPhone in a certain way. This problem lies in the design of the phone's hardware, and can not be fixed with any software updates or new parts. There are two solutions to this problem; you may:
  • follow Apple's advice, and not hold the phone in such a way that alters the reception, or
  • put a cover on your iPhone.

Dirty antenna grounds

If your iPhone has been disassembled before, it's possible that finger oils were left on the grounding locations for the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth antennas. These oils will cause grounding issues for the antennas, which could lead to a weak signal or no connectivity at all. Be sure to clean all grounding points with an electronics cleaning solution before reassembling your iPhone to prevent grounding issues.
God bless you

This problem is with the phone and not the network. Takie your complaints to APple and have them fix the antenna for your device.
