CONFIG 1*


If the printer is showing "CONFIG 1*" this is not an error, this message is simply advising that Menu CONFIGuration 1 is selected hence the * beside the message.
Assuming the settings in CONFIG Menu 1 are correct if you send data to the printer in the correct format it should print.

The printer driver settings override the printer settings unless you tell the driver to use the printer settings. You can tell by setting the printer setting and saving it permanently. Print a configuration label. Send a label to the printer. Print another configuration label. Compare the config labels and If it changed, then the driver changed it. Set the driver as above and it will not change when you print.

How do you set the printer to print continously without loosing settings on the next page?


You need to save the settings via the operator panel.
Goto CONFIG Menu -> CONFIGURATIONS -> SAVE -> and save the current configurtion to a template, e.g. CONFIG 1.

I set the printer settings, save. When the printers power is turned off, the saved setting are lost- why?


Check in the Configuration Menu for your "Power on" configuration set. It is most likely set to "Factory Default" Change to your custom set (1,2,3 etc) and save. Make sure you save your set again after you set this (you just changed the config so save it)

Tray error invalid config


Message:
TRAY ERROR INVALID CONFIG

What this message means:
The printer detects an incorrect configuration of the trays.

What you can do:
Turn off the printer. Set the trays in the proper configuration again.
See "Installing the Optional Tray Module" in the manual book.

Error code 1- 2036


I fixed my error code 1-2036 by going to the "Configure Settings" in the AiO Home Center then selected AiO Printer changed to "Print Quality" to Draft and clicked OK.... Then I was able to Scan with no errors. I think the config settings were corrupted some how and this resaved them properly.

Go to Control Panel
Double Click on Printers and Other Hardware
Double Click on Scanners and Cameras
Double Click on Kodak 5100 AiO
Click Next
Read and follow directions
if both the solutions doesnt help... its time to call kodak

Tally6215 "Config 1" Error


The 'Config 1" message on the T6215 is not indicating an error message, this message is simply indicating that Config 1 of the 10 configurations that you can set on the T6125 is loaded.

With the Config 1 message loaded you should still be able to print so long as the printer is ONLINE and does not have any other error lights on.
If the printer is not printing I would recommend printing a configuration page to check the printer is working OK.
To print a configuration page follow these steps;
Put the printer OFFLINE
Press the MENU BUTTON
Press the DOWN ARROW to HELP
Press ENTER

The printer should print a configuration page, if this prints correctly I would recommend checking the settings in particular the Interface and Emulation settings.
I would also recommend checking connectivity between the system and the printer to check the print jobs can get to the printer.
Also check the system to ensure the correct printer driver and printer setup is being chosen.

Tray Error, Invalid Config


You can restore the original factory default menu settings by initializing NVRAM. Try this and see what happens. from there I would need an exact message off the printer to help further.
Turn off the printer.
Turn on the printer while holding down u_botton.gif and d_botton.gif .
The Customer Mode menu appears.
Press Menu.
Press d_bottonb.gif until Configure appears, and then press r_bottona.gif or arrowbutton_sa.gif .
Press d_bottonb.gif until Maintenance appears, and then press r_bottona.gif or arrowbutton_sa.gif .Press d_bottonb.gif until Init NVRAM appears, and then press r_bottona.gif or arrowbutton_sa.gif .
The Init NVRAM Are you sure? message appears on the operator panel. Press arrowbutton_sa.gif .
Turn off the printer, and then on again.
