    I have the same problem!

The screen is blank and yet the power light is on.

when i switch it off, either from the remote or on the machine itself, it simply switches itself back on again.

I have checked all wires and pushed all buttons but to no avail.

How do i hook up mt ipod

To hook up your ipod to an a/v reciever you need a stereo mini to male rca cable. You plug the mini side into you ipods head phone jack, and the male rca's left and right(usually red and white colored plugs) to an auxilary input on the a/v reciever.-Example, tape, aux, sa/cd.
Change the input on the reciever to correspond with where you connected the ipod
Ensure the ipod is powered on and playing with the volume turned up.

Can I adjust the level of each channel from the receiver, not from the remote control (the level button on mine is not working)?

Depends on the reciever, some due and don't, my advice is to get a universal remote that will work with your reciever and then you can adjust your settings no problem. I own a Yamaha RX-V3800n and you can hardly do anything without the remote.

Hope this helps

PANASONIC SA HE9 RECIEVER 5.1

If the sub has a volume control, turn it down then turn up the volume on the amp to the very high volume you mentioned. If it still has very low muffled sound, then we know the problem is about the amp.

Overload?

From the manual, you may have seen this: Switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause, then switch the unit on. Causes include: ?Shorting (bare wires touching) of positive and negative speaker wires. ?Using speakers with an impedance lower than that rated for this unit. ?Straining of the speakers through excessive volume or power. ?Using the unit in a hot environment without proper ventilation.
