There are heavy duty/rough service bulbs you can buy at the hardware store that are made to withstand the vibrations. You might also try unplugging the opener and removing the light bulb. Use a screwdriver to reach down to the center contact in the light socket and pull out. That will increase the tension on the bulb somewhat.

Occasionally bulbs will fail for no reason. Replace the bulb and try again. If it fails again, then you likely have a problem.

How do I pick a right bulb for Christmas tree and string lights? Some are 2.5V some 3.5V some 5V... Some say 2.5-3.5v. I replaced some burned bulbs with generic 2.5-3.5V bulbs from stores and they are

Now this is one I ask myself. Why Dont the same people who sell a certain brand of lights sell a pack of replacement bulbs of the same brand? Most lights come with a few replacement bulbs but it just seams easier to use and old set that match others I have for "spares bulbs" and buy a new set for a tree or bush or an item not next to other older set(s). Otherwise if you still have a bulb one can check the ohms with a multi-meter and compare the with another. Voltage would have to match and then would have to look for some bulb with the closest ohm. Like I said. Why not sell bulbs for the lights you have sold. Seems the cheap ones are the only ones that are more standard then bigger names cause they just seem to change (improve) their design. Good luck.

This is a poor ground connection to the bulb or to the unit. Since the main battery + is coming in the bulb glows but it idoes not receive a good negative which has to come from the ground of the car. So have the ground wires taken out , cleaned and fixed back.

How do I change the lamp? Lamp came with no directions. This is a HD72.

Hello there,If your movie projector light bulb has stopped working, there are some simple steps to take to get your movies playing again. The hardest part may be finding the correct replacement bulb. There are so many different models with their own specific bulb. Here are some steps to follow to replace your burned out light bulb.
  • Locate the bulb in the movie projector. You may need to use a screwdriver to open the bulb compartment. Check your owner's manual for proper procedures.
  • Step 2.Remove the movie projector light bulb or lamp. The bulb must be cool before you take it out. Use a tissue or cloth to remove the bulb because the glass bulb is very fragile. Do not throw away your bulb yet, you may need it to help find a replacement.
  • Step 3.Find replacement bulb. The Better Lamps website offers a wide variety of light bulb models. From their homepage select the brand of movie projector you have and using the model number from your old bulb, buy a replacement.
  • Step 4Replace the movie projector lamp or light bulb. Do not touch the bulb with your skin. This can transfer oils from you onto the bulb resulting in a hot spot which can make the bulb burst. Use a tissue or cloth to handle the new bulb to screw it back into place and then replace the cover.

One surface light bulb on GE Profile microwave keeps burning out

I have the same problem. The left one burns out within a couple of hours use, the other one lasts a couple of months and is then gone. This pattern has repeated over 8 years. I replace them every now and then and then just go without until I get the urge again to fix it. Maybe smaller lower wattage lamps are worth trying...

All light bulbs burn out again and again, how to fix this.

Check the battery voltage with the engine running at idle and at 2000 RPM. Voltage should not exceed 13.6 volts. To burn out bulbs the alternator would have to run at 15 + volts to fatigue bulbs. If the voltage is high, investigate charging system.
    Let me know.

    START AND SHUTDOWN

    Hello Mr. Bond.

I believe that you have a rear projection TV where the light from
a powerful halogen light bulb is focused onto a micro-prism
viewing screen through a Liquid Crystal Video Chip.

The light-bulbs have a finite life, degrade with time and eventually
burn out. It is likely that you have a burned out light bulb.

Replacement light bulbs range from about $150 to $250 from
the dealer, depending on the exact model.

The bulbs are somewhat cheaper by mail order from the Internet,
if you can wait that long. Also, some bulbs are available without
the integral mounting bracket, further reducing the cost, but
skilled hands and careful handling is required.

Never touch the glass of a TV light bulb with your bare fingers.
The bulb runs very hot, and residual sweat from your fingers
may cause th bulb to crack and explode.
(use gentle white cloth gloves when handling the new bulb.

I believe that bulb just burned out on its own, and this has
nothing to do with your attempt to connect a DVD player.

On my TV (Sony 60"), a flashing green light indicates a
normal power-up/ bulb warm-up cycle. If the bulb fails to
respond, the TV will detect a bad bulb and shut off again.
