Question about Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router
I have been using this for quite some time without any problems and all of sudden I cannot get any internet connection. My internet server Cox says it is my router. When I disconnect my router entirely and hooked up internet cable directly from my desktop CPU to my modem it works fine. The reason I was using a router was to wire my internet cable via the router for my laptop at the same time being connected with my desktop.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

it might be because of interference...no issues dont worry about that...
JUst follow these steps and the issue will be resolved....
1,connect the blue cable between the computer and the router(any 1 of the 4 ports in the
2,connect the other Ethernet cable between the Modem(came from ur internet people) and the
Router's Internet port(standalone port at the back of the router)
3,In the rear panel of the router u can see the reset button.with the help of the paper or
ball point pen, press it hardly and hold it for 1 minute..
4,Now turn off ur modem and the router..wait for other 1 minute..

i you restart you devices, modem and router...
first turn off the modem and then the router and last will be the computer
second if you will turn the devices on...
first turn on the modem, wait until the dsl light becomes solid
second turn on the router, wait for a minute and
third turn on the computer.
check the wireless settings for your router and save changes
next, try to check wireless connection by disabling the local area connection (LAC)

If that is the case you may forward ports on the router for VPN connection, try to open 47, 500 and 1723 all TCP and UDP protocol.
Here's what you need to do, check the IP address of the computer where you have the VPN software,
click start> run> type cmd> hit okay
on the black screen put in ipconfig and check the IP address there,
> when you get the IP address then we can enable port forwarding on the router
> open IE on the working computer on the address bar, type 192.168.1.1
> nothing for username and password is admin in lower case
> then click on the applications and gaming tab on the router,
> and from there, example of how to field that in is like this,
> for aaplication name - VPN1
> for port it is 47 to 47
> for protocol it is BOTH
> for IP address ex. 192.168.1.XX - 192.168.1.100
> then check enable, do the same thing for the rest of the port.
> save the settings and try it again after.
> if it is still nothing, you may connect the computer that has the VPN connection directly to the modem and check if you will be able to connect via VPN
i'll wait for your response, thank you and have a nice day!
