Well could possibly be a motherboard issue. Since the power supply is brand new thats rule that out.
Take a magnifying glass and get your self a good source of light and check the motherboard. You wanna look for any damage around it any mis coloring or burned spots.
could possibly be another hardware issue, have you installed any new hardware?
Try this to get it at-least back on.
open up your computer case, locate your power supply. With the AC cord still plugged in , unplugged the connectors to your motherboard and wait about 10secs. Then replugged them in. This should power on your PC.

Help. my laptop is not working. i turned it on this morning but it suddenly turnoff then i turn it on again and its not working.

The main problem these days are that people are putting windows 7 on desktops and laptops that are 4 to 6 years old. They don't have the video card that is capable nor fast enough to care that OS. So go back to the system it came with and the problem will go away, or buy a newer computer.

My emachine EL1352G-41W wont turn on?

Power supply is most likely your problem--many desktops with this issue have before it happens an issue where it has to be turned on several times and will finally come on and stay on.

The power supply in most cases is a unit that can be removed and tested (most shops charge little or nothing for this.)

If you are able to get it out look for bad filter caps on that board--some examples:

If puffy caps are found you have two choices---replace them all or if possible buy a generic power supply replacement............

In my opinion you have a faulty power supply, replacing only the fan may not solve your problem. Try replacing the power supply.

My gateway desktop PRB 510S, if I turn it off and unplug it or electricity goes off, the computer wont start back again. Wont do anything. No lights no fan, nothing. Then 5 to 10 minutes after I turn it on...

Try connecting a different power supply to it. If the same situation repeats, then it's an internal (motherboard) problem. If the problems go away, then the power supply needs to be replaced.

6 years... I'm surprised the PSU even lasted that long! The power supply is the cheapest part of the PC and usually one of the first parts to fail. Don't worry, a replacement power supply is not too expensive. Good luck!

Emachines t5230 & no power Working fine one day and then no power the next?

Your eMachines features the cheapest power supply in the industry. I have personally replaced 6 of these. You can replace it with a factory unit for $20 or go to your local compter shop, and get a $40 unit that will last until you need a new computer.

( It says... 480Ws but I dont believe it )

$20:

Emachines T3958 will not turn on

Check the fuse on the inside of it and see if it is not blown, if not blown change it any way it may not look like it is blown but it is hard to tell, and see if that work.

Wont power up

Helo,

If the power supply from your friends old computer may not fave all of the correct plugs to power up your computer. You system needs 2 plugs going to the motherboard one with 20 pins and one with 4 pins. Besure you have the correct plugs. The second thing to check is recheck the friendss power supply in another machine. Last option is that when your power supply overheated and died that it damaged your motherboard and you may have to replace it too.

Emachine wont start

remove all external and internal peripherls.

example for external: mouse, monitor, keyboard, printer.

Internal: hard drive, memory modules, video cards, modem (if there's any), optical drive or dvd drives.

just leave the motherboard, power supply and processor intact, try turning on the computer with out those components mentioned. see if you get a beep sound before it turns off, but if not the most logical part that needs to be replaced on this type of problem is the power supply if that doesn't work the next thing to do is replace the motherboard. hope that helps

hit me back on the results. thanks!

also in addition to the above, try reseating the ram chips..take them out individually and plug them back into their respective slots..might be the miracle cure..If the motherboard fan turns on, it might just be bad memory..replace RAM chips
