The answers are simple, but a pain. For solution by internet try Delta's homepage, most manufacturer's have manuals online that you can download or request ($); try e-manuals.com they are hit and miss though. Now the painful part, check a Delta dealer or one of he box-stores that handle Delta, talk with the clerk, ask if they can burn off a copy or relevant parts, or if can't see if they will escort you to the store's copy machine ($$) and have at it. Not the best of options but...

Aligning your tablesaw's trunnions to the table surface can be quite difficult to explain without graphic. Instead of quessing where the shims were please take a look at the following web address for a serious look at alignment.

Check nameplate on motor for amp draw, and then check that against your breaker and wire size.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire2.html

If table saw worked on the breakers before and suddenly stopped working, then see if you can lubricate motor bearings >> look for oil cap on each end of motor and use 3-in-1 oil.
Clean the saw and make sure there's nothing rubbing against drive belt and that saw blade rolls easily when saw is turned off.

Table saw

I had a similar problem with my table saw. It would not come on. I unplugged it and cleaned out the on/off switch...it had saw dust in it that was preventing it from contacting and coming on. You might want to try this.

I am not having much luck with blade alignment on my delta model 36-650 table saw. I have all the factory components that the saw came with. The 10 inch blade rubs on the table insert on the far right...

Check that the washers on the motor shaft are positioned properly. I believe the washers are dish shaped one should be on each side of the blade with the wide shoulder aginst the blade. Check this. Also if you go to Deltaportercable.com you can get an owners manuel for free on line. If this was helpful, please leave feedback.
Thanks, Snugglepants

I have recently purchased used powermatic 66 Table

That is the current setting for a motor-starter which is an overcurrent sensor. This is a circuit breaker like device that usually has a heater coil that opens a contact which cuts the power to the relay that powers the motor to prevent overload damage to the motor.

The dial is in AMPS and should be set just slightly higher than the nameplate amp rating for the motor.

Ok, the motor turns, but throws sparks on the brushes. This is normal to an extent for universal motors used on that type of equipment.

Try reassembling the saw, and put a blade on it, then try it. If it runs, try cutting a piece of scrap 1x, both crosscut & rip. If the motor can't hold the load, you may still have to replace it.
