Feedback score 982 or 1000, which is it???

Without knowing what your Ebay ID is, we can't see exactly what your situation is. However, I suspect the 1000 is the total number of transactions you've had, and the 982 is your actual feedback score. Often people neglect to post feedback on all their transactions, leading to the different figures. In my own experience, people only leave feedback 70% of the time.

if you received negative Feedback from your buyers there are two ways on how you can resolve this,

1. you can send a feedback revision request to your buyers but first you need to deal with your buyer about the transaction.
2. you can email or contact Trust and safety team of eBay. you can use the contact us page or you can email them using the email address rswebhelp@ebay.com

I haven't received the item I bought on eBay

Steps to take if you don't receive an item or it's significantly not as described

If you've paid for an item but not received it, or the item doesn't match the seller's description, you can follow these steps.
Be aware of the timing for opening and closing cases. (If you paid by credit card, be aware of your card company's policies too.)
  • You can open a case in the Resolution Centre 10-45 days after the sale (for payment outside of PayPal)
  • The seller has up to 10 days to respond to your case.
  • If you haven't closed it within 90 days after the end of the transaction, your case closes automatically.

1. Talk to the seller

Most problems can be solved by direct communication between buyers and sellers. Communicate with your trading partner to try to resolve the problem. If you attempt to contact the seller by email but don't receive a response, you can request the seller's contact information and call them. If you can't resolve the problem, use the steps described here.

2. Open a case to work it out in our Resolution Centre

If you can't work things out directly with the seller, you can open a case in eBay's Resolution Centre. The Resolution Centre creates a dialogue between you and the seller and tracks your case for you.

Important: If you paid with PayPal, you'll be taken to the PayPal Resolution Centre to open your case. This is the first step in filing a dispute for protection under PayPal's Buyer Protection. You can open a case in the PayPal Resolution Centre up to 45 days after your PayPal transaction date.

The resolution process for PayPal disputes is different from the process for non-PayPal cases, which is described in the rest of this article. For full details, see the PayPal Buyer Protection Policy.

To open a case (10 to 45 days from when you bought your item):
  1. Go to the Resolution Centre.
  2. Select your problem and click Continue. You may need to sign in to your account.
  3. Enter your item number, or click Find Item to choose from your list of recent purchases.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Under Tell us how you paid for this item, select the payment method you used.
    • If you select PayPal, you'll be redirected to the PayPal Resolution Centre. (You'll still be able to view your PayPal case from the eBay Resolution Centre.)
    • If you select another method, describe the method and clickContinue.
  6. Review your case details and then click Open Case.

I bought an item on16 July 2011. the seller states that he has not received payment yet and i want my merchandise...Transaction ID 1FH53748JJ584092N

On paypal, you are allowed to dispute transactions. I suggest you go to ebay.com, click on your transaction, review the details, and then visit the Resolution Center @ http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/resolving-problems.html

I sold an item on ebay and the buyer didn't like it; says it wasn't what was described but it was returned badly damaged. How am I expected to issue a refund?

Hi there!
If you received the item you sold in a bad condition, you can report the buyer to the resolution team of eBay although it will took too long for them to take action. Here's the link that you can use to report the transaction: http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_us/_base/result_3_6_2.html
I hope this helps you. Have a great day!

Buying item from canada but will have ebay as a third party

If you're going to buy an item from Canada, first, the item must be listed in eBay to make the transaction legitimate. Only pay for the item using PayPal, Moneybookers, Propay, Paymate or credit card through the seller's marchant credit card account. If the seller is asking you to pay for it using wire transfer or money order, better cancel the transaction because it is a possible scam. If you pay using those 2 payment methods, you'll not be covered by eBay's Buyer Protection Program. I hope that this will help you with your transaction. Also, all legitimate emails from eBay should be received both in your My Messages and registered email address. If you don't have a copy of it in your My Messages, better forward it to spoof@ebay.com

I received this email about payment for a car I'm interested in. Is it legitimate? Dear Casey Truitt, This eBay Vehicle Protection Program ( VPP ) Invoice was sent to you at the request of our eBay...

Do not continue the transaction and do not pay for this item. VPP only works if you purchase an item on eBay motors site. ask the seller for the eBay 12 digit item number so that you can check if this item is a legite listed item on eBay. Do not pay if you do not bid or won the item on eBay site. This is a spoof email. Please forward the messages you got from this seller to spoof@ebay.com so that eBay can investigate this for you

Contact Paypal. They have a claims resolution department. The bonus is that they are OWNED by ebay. You shouldn't have any problems receiving your refund.

Not really an immediate issue I bid on an item it ended w reserve not being met I sent a question to seller as to be able to go ahead and purchase item which I did and I was very pleased with service...

Hi Michelle, The transaction was outside of Ebay so you will not be able to leave feedback for this seller. He/she will also be aware of this. But it does not stop you from communicating you satisfaction to the seller. If he wishes he can display your text on the site in his future descriptions of items as testimonies anyway.

Ploease rate our hep++++Thanks for using FIXYA
