Question about Televison & Video
I have a Chanchong lcd tv modelCHL2643A. It came on automatically this morning as it does every morning and I turned it off using the easy remote. i went to turn it on this evening and neither remote would work. have checked the batteries in each on and they are fine. the tv was purchased about 6 weeks ago. it will only turn on using the buttons manually. i am at a loss as to what has happened and was wondering if you have any suggestions. i have turned it on and off using the powerpoint as well as the manual buttons. in a bother as I have had neck surgery and my family got it for me for mothers day to help me see tv easier. any ideas??? many thanks

Do a hard reset to his set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Reset the remote control and the TV at the same time and this may work. Step 1; First unplug the TV from the wall/surge protector. Wait 5 Min. while your wait here is step 2; You take the batteries out of the remote>then press down on every button 2 Times>replace the batteries in the remote, after the 5min. go ahead and plug the TV in and try it again. If this does not work then you need a new remote control.

the remotes are usually multi function .. that is, they can control more than just the TV .. make sure TV mode is selected ... if its in VCR mode or Cable or whatever then it wont control the TV .. if its a programmable remote then it may have lost its program and would have to be set up again ... if its the original that came with the tv then that shouldnt happen . once in a while but not often i see a bad LED (at the tip of the remote) ... those are infra red so you cant see the light beam but a digital camera can .. point the remote at the digital camera and you should see the LED flashing in the cameras viewer when a button on the remote is pushed ...

LCD's use a colorful crystal see through display which only visible when light is shining through it. if you have sound and no picture it's always a faulty PSU. Very easy to change out actually.
