There should be 3 colored cords,if that's the way you are trying to hook it up.There is that or HDMI.For colored cords, insert the color into the matching color on the OUTPUT labeled portion of the DVD player.Take the other 3 ends and insert them into the INPUT labeled part of the TV.To access it on the TV,you will need to press the input or input select button (whatever it is labeled) on the TV remote, and select input 1 or input 2,depending on which on it is connected to on the TV.Just about all TV's these days have at least 2 inputs for an external source.Your TV remote button may even be labeled source select. You should be all set from there. Good luck!

if you want to buy a new original remote control to your DVD player, just contact the nearest authorised service center for GE at your town. If you want to buy a universal remote control, you have to buy one, which has GE DVD setup codes. The setup codes can be checked from its catelogue. Just buy one, which has GE DVD setup codes, on its codes list.

No sound

Check scart leads are fully seated into sockets. If they aren't tight then you can get picture with no sound or sound with no picture. You may also want to try a different lead in place.

My GE1101P dvd player says no disc when I load. Also make a small grinding noise when I load to disc. It works some times but is saying no disc more often. Can I clean it or do something to repair it?

I would try running a cleaner disc in it first.
If youre not scared to open the case ( WITH AC UNPLUGGED)
try finding the laser lens and clean with swab of 90% alcohol

I have owned this DVD player for about 2 years and a few hours ago it stopped working. It will come up with the screen and say loading but then it goes to saying no disc. It has worked fine until today....

I have often found that when my DVD players acted up it was simply a dirty lens on the reader. Pop over to your local store and find a DVD cleaner Disc. Magnavox makes them (i suggest brand name over a generic one anyday) Hope that's the issue. :)
