the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Hi, is there someone available at the moment? i need to secure my router but don't know how to.

You should connect to the router's configuration page, it's http://192.168.2.1 generally. You should add a password and read this for configuring more security:

What is the network secuirty key for my belkin 54g wireless router? Help!

1. network security is setup by the user
You either have it or you will need to go through the set and establish a new network security key again via the CD that came with the router device.

Hi, I need to find my password on my Belkin G Plus MIMO Router

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.2.1, the Default password is blank.

Click on Security under Wireless and look for the Security Key or Network Key (Passphrase)

If you have questions please let me know. Thanks for using Fixya.

Forgot the password

Hi brendflores,

Welcome to Fixya. Im not quite sure what password you're referring to if ti's the router password or the Network Password or Network Key. Listed below are the steps on how to obtain the Network Password and the Router Password.

For you to get you Security Code or Network Key you need to access your router. To access your router just open a Browser then type 192.168.2.1, password is blank. Click on the Security under Wireless. You can change the security type of your router to WPA, WEP or you can also Disable the security. Under that you can see the Security Code or Network Key. You can also Personalize the Passphrase or Network Key so that you can easily remember it.

You can also reset the router to its factory state but you need to keep in mind that all settings will be back to its default settings. To reset the router press and hold the small reset button at the back of the router using a Pen or a Paper Clip for 15-30 seconds.

If you think this is helpful rate me and don't forget to say thanks. Thanks for using Fixya.

How do you set up security for a belkin G+MIMO wireless rout

Type the code in the search bar(not search engine) try creating a password, you can put one in system settings and when you are prompted for a pword leave it out if you have'nt got one. Then under the wireless menu select Security.Choose a type of security you would like to use from the drop down menu(best one's are 64-bit and 128-bit)create a pass-phrase from there to create a word for you to remember and if needed copy the key. Finally reboot you router under the utilities section.

hello!

normally, if you configure the wireless security settings wirelessly, it will automatically disconnect you from the network. you have to input the security key on the laptop first before it connects you back to the network.

i suggest, if you really like to configure the settings of your router, get an ethernet cable, connect it directly to the laptop so you can access and configure the router settings and to avoid from being disconnected

Connecting to secure network

when enabling wireless security the router and adapter must be both be configured and configured in a fashion that both support. If you need help provide confirmation of your wireless router's manufacturer and model and the same information for any wireless adapters or computers with built-in wireless adapters to be wirelessly connected.

This will allow us to determine the common security options for all wireless devices you have.
