Question about Craftsman 20 hp 42 in. Deck Lawn Tractor - CA Model

1 Answer

Please help! I was not the one who disassembled the clutch cable so I don't know how the cable is connected with the cable tie to the frame. It took me hours to decipher the vague directions and the manual parts diagram. The cable (42") seems too long. I'm not sure if I've threaded the cable through the correct hole in the frame. I appreciate your help asap.

My tractor is still disassembled. After seriously studying the snowblower information, I still have the same questions: where is the cable attached to the chassis (zip tie), and through which hole does the clutch cable run to reach the blade control?

I'm guessing that the cable goes through the round hole (with electrical) toward the rear of the tractor, is attached SOMEWHERE to the frame and pulls the clutch plate toward the rear of the tractor.

This is an automatic transmission, 17.0 HP, 42", electric start Craftsman model 917.271660. It doesn't have any part that has a chain tensioner.

How do you install a barrett clutch cable on a victory v92c motorcycle

To change your clutch cable fittest remove the seat and fuel tank. Remove nut and wiring clip from the bottom of the clutch lever then push the stud up and out through the top. This will allow you to disconnect the cable from the lever. If need be slide the boot back on the right side along the frame to access the cable adjustment to gain slack to work with. Once the cable is free from the lever you can carefully pull the lever end of the cable through the grommet in the frame. Cut the zip ties along the frame that secure the cable. Once it's through, remove the side covers that cover your battery and electronics. The cable is attached to a clip under and behind the battery box by a nut. Use a 10 mm wrench to back the nut off. If you need more room to work you could remove the battery and battery box. Pull your cable slack towards the clutch arm on the top left of the transmission and disconnect it. Now you can pop the solid tube of the cable out of a metal clip on the right side and carefully fish it up and out through the right left side of the bike. To install simply reverse the procedure. Be sure to lube as instructed with the grease Barnett provides with their cables. I just put all ss Barnett cables on my 2000 v92c and love em.

The Lcd will be connect by two sets of cables/wires. One will be a round type normally a power lead the other is a Flat ribbon cable type. for the flat cable trac it back to the main board and you should should one of two types of clips either a flit bar type , which you would gently and evenly lift , this would be blank normally or beige, or two button sliders on either side of the ribbon cable you would gently slide away from the main seating.

Aside from the screws for the frame normally two on back, one on each side and multiple on top panel.

once off you can gently crack the lcd casing , look for screws under the rubber dots if you have them else most likely a snap apart.

My DeLonghi dehumidifier is collecting water but not into the bucket. Rather it leaks it all on the floor. I have cleaned the filter and even the coils to no avail. Please help.

The drain tube that drains the water into the bucket is clogged and needs to be cleared.

To do this, you will need at least an 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar. (But, NO wire coat hangers) that will fit into the drain tube or hole. Carefully work the Zip Tie into the hole or tube and gently push it forward. You will reach a bend in the tubing, but you will have to gingerly work past this bend. Once the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of Zip Tie. slowly pull it back out while rotating it. This will help breakup the clog. Once you start reaching the end of the inserted Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.

The above procedure should solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Need to know where clutch cable runs from tranny to fairring. need diagram

I don't think I've ever seen a diagram of the routing of the clutch cable. The cable comes from the left handlebar to the frame. It runs down the left side of the frame, between the front engine mount on the frame and the engine. Along the lower frame tube on the right side of the bike and up to the bottom of the chrome clutch release housing on the right side of the transmission. I hope this helps. Good luck

My toshiba 40rf350u is showing colored vertical lines on the left side of the screen 2 inches off the edge and 13 inches wide they seem to appear in morning and go away after 5-10 minutes. please help

I have fixed the issue on my Toshiba 40" Flat panel. There are several ribbon cables that run across the top of the FPD module. It took a short while to disassemble the entire assembly. The fix I employed was to secure the ribbon cable using black electrical tape. Unfortunately the reassemble revealed an isse where the frame for the FPD module reintroduced the issue. I merely wedged the frame and the assembly and that resolved the issue entirely. I neglected to totally resolder the connections so not to damage any of the other ribbon cables for the display. Note these ribbon cables get very hot to the touch.

I have video's and pictures on request.

Clutch Adjustment Issues / 78 Yamaha XS 650

Disconnect the clutch cable at the case then see if the there is any resistance in the clutch lever in-out movement. When the tank was remounted the cable may have gotten pinched or moved out of proper routing. If I understand correctly, prior to the frame painting the clutch was okay, but after the paint it was not, and the left and right side cases and clutch were not touched. Obviously you used the wrong brand of paint. The clutch would have been fine if you had used Krylon brand paint. Post a comment and let me know what you find.
